Review: The hotel is located on a convenient and quiet street near Hoàn Kiếm Lake. The breakfast buffet is decent, with plenty of fruit and made-to-order omelets and pancakes. What stood out was the helpful staff, especially Kate, who went out of her way to resolve an issue with my next hotel booking. Next door is a great bánh mì spot, and across the street is a café with excellent Vietnamese egg coffee/chocolate.

Positive points: Great location, and staff went above and beyond to help us out during out stay.

Positive points: One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at. The staff was nice and supportive. The breakfast offered a variety of local foods and varied a bit from day to day, so you wouldn’t get bored eating the same food every day. The restaurant is a bit small and could get crowded during busy times, but this was not an issue at all. Although it’s in the heart of Old Town, the room was quiet. Regarding the size, even though I booked the smaller room, it provided ample space for two people.

Review: The hotel gave me a free upgrade to a bigger room so that was nice. The bed is also comfortable and water provided daily. However, the hotel had obviously seen better days with wear and tear.

The 2 things that struck me the most were the flies in the room and the breakfast area, and a broken door latch which meant my door could not be double locked.

Review: Room condition was not good. Very small room.

Positive points: I had a great stay here for four nights. From check-in to checkout, the staff were pleasant and very helpful. In particular, Kate went out of her way to help book me a Bai Tu Long Bay cruise on short notice.

The breakfast provided was plentiful and tasty and included western and Vietnamese options (pho).

The room exceeded my expectations. The bed was comfortable and the room was well equipped as a base for my stay in Hanoi. Would highly recommend the Golden Legend to others!

Review: Staff could not have been more helpful. E.g. bringing me an umbrella because it was raining when I headed out. Breakfast buffet is quite small but they offer additional dishes like Pho should you want them.

Positive points: Location was absolutely excellent to explore Old Quarter. The staff, especially Hannah and Kate, are ever so helpful with everything during our stay. They were able to give recommendations on best dining spots to suit various budget and offered to make reservations, pointing out best times to visit some tourist destinations. An absolute hidden gem!

Precio calidad muy bueno. El desayuno está bien, podría mejorar el café pero es local. Ofrecen huevos y pancakes que puedes pedir sin costo.

Positive points: The breakfast was amazing! Not only was there a buffet with Vietnamese/Asian food and Western food, they also had a small menu where you could order things like pancakes, omelets or pho, all of which was included in the breakfast!
