Hanvet Boutique Hotel

Review: First of all, the hotel is excellent value for the money for sure. Rooms are big, equipped with AC and hot water,there is fridge. Location is also excellent. Unfortunately, the lady in the reception is not kind and honest. We spent the previous night on the way of Hanoi, she tried to use our tiredness to make more money. She said our room is not ready, if we want to check in immediately,she has better and larger room but more expensive. I said okay, she told us the price in VND, I said we have no VND, we have just arrived. She offered to help exchange USD to VND with the rate of 24000, I said I can pay by credit card. She asked 15 USD,I said okay, while looking for the credit card in my pocket, she also asked 3% commission due to card payment. My wife got angry and we decided to stay at the room we book. She said it is noisy,I said if it is, I can review in that way. She replied the room is also not large, I said no problem. We finally left our luggage and she asked us to come at 14:00.. We met this lady only once and she is the only drawback of this hotel. There was a guy in the reception next day,h

Located to the centre close to restaurants and bars

Review: Hotel is very well situated - right in the middle of the cozy neighbourhood near the cathedral. However, it doesn't deserve to be called "boutique". The staff is absent from the front desk half the time, apparently working at their other property. At the same time, the lobby is wide open, so it's probably not a good idea to leave any bags there for any time. The rooms are decent but lack enough power outlets. There is none in the bathroom either, so good luck if you want to use a hair dryer. The street outside gets noisy in the mornings. Basically, forget about sleeping past 7:30 am as there is now loud music blasting outside at that time. Also I was woken up by a cleaning lady at 8 am even though my door tag clearly said "Do not disturb". If it wasn't for all those drawbacks, it could be a pretty nice hotel.

Review: The hotel is located in the small alley of Hanoi adjacent to the church so it is very convenient to walk around the old quarter and hoan kiem lake.

Positive points: The property was very well situated and was clean and modern. It was also quiet. Would definitely stay again

Positive points: The room was really nice and clean with modern furniture. The shower is separate from the rest of the bathroom. Located in an alleyway and really quiet at night. Black out curtains to block the light out in the morning. Great location, right in the old quarter, next to St Joseph’s cathedral, and about 10 min to the lake. Lots of restaurants around.

Review: Highly recommended in old quarter - near to shops and everything else

Positive points: Nice staff at reception. Great location, close to everything. Room is clean, full of natural light from balcony and window. There is long desk which is very convenient if you need to work with laptop.

Review: Modern rooms, simple but did the job. No one on reception when we arrived but they came after a call. Nice and quiet location behind the cathedral

Review: Like others said the bed frame need to replace. We could not leave our baggage before check in as they will not guarantee our belongings. Instead we were offered to upgrade to available room which cost additional 10$ per day. We took it as we don't want to waste time waiting till check in. The room is big but the bed frame can feel the hard springs . On the second day our hair dryer spoiled and there were no replacement available. And the water heater sometime not working. Location wise it's ok to stay and staff are friendly.

Positive points: The location is excellent and it’s down a quiet street. Excellent aircon in room and comfy beds.
