Minasi HanoiOi LakeSide Hotel

Review: I read in the description some rooms do not have windows. I thought little of this and booked anyway. I arrived in the early evening and in the morning there was light behind the curtain. I took a peek and there was a building not far from my room.

But the location is perfect for walking and wandering around and the price betrayed the reasonable charge, it is a real value. And the window became a moot point when light showed me night from day.

I would definitely stay here again.

Review: We have stayed in many hotels this trip and this one provided the least customer service. We have grown accustomed to a bellman opening the door to greet us and inquire about our day and stay, but the Minasi HanoiOi is much more understated. Though friendly, there is very little interaction between staff and guests. It was clean enough and nice room size.

Positive points: We loved this apartment it was one of the best ones we stayed in, and we traveled quite a lot. The communication with the host was great the location was nice and quiet, but the best part was the apartment itself. It was big and spacious, decorated stylishly and luxurious, making us feel welcome and comfortable. It's a type of apartment where you say you wish you could stay longer. The home cinema with the huge TV, the well-equipped kitchen and the comfortable double bed made it even better. The kitchen also has a pantry with additional groceries which functions as a mini-bar, you take anything you need and you just leave the money behind. We took a few things and it came very handy.
FOR DOG OWNERS: our dog felt very welcomed in this apartment. There was a bed prepared for her with towel for he paws, as well as a water bowl and treat. Never had a better experience before while traveling with our dog.
I would recommend this place 10/10 and would definitely return.

Positive points: The hotel is located in the Old Quarter of Hanoi with walking distance to most of the main tourist attractions. We arrived at the hotel very early morning (after night train from Sapa) and was able to check in early with a little additional cost. The staff was very nice and welcoming and all in all our experience was good

Review: Pro : Well located. On south side, one block from Hoan Kiem, not exactly in the central area, but convenient enough. I stayed in Rm 501, which is probably the largest room. Very spacious. Decor nice. Breakfast is okay, very basic foods.

Con : Like other Hanoi hotels, the bathroom design has a basic flaw. When taking a shower in the bathtube, water spills all over the floor and the curtain does not help. Also, there is some govt office across the street. Every morning around 6:30am, there's a broadcast of some communist propaganda stuff. Very loud. But it lasts only 20 min or so. Keep in mind this is a small hotel, almost like a family business. So don't expect too much.

Positive points: The hotel is so comfortable, beautiful and lovely.

Review: Room was spacious, breakfast was decent. Staff was friendly in the day, granted I arrived at 530am, reception then seemed lethargic and unenthusiastic. Nonetheless a great stay, value for money.

Review: Although the hotel is available at a budget, the services are getting compromised. I did not have a good experience at this hotel during check in itself. I was told on mail that in case room is available, you would be allowed to check in early as my flight from India was reaching in morning. While I reached hotel, the reception staff declined the availability of any room of any category for checkin. When I said that , no problem , I will go and checkin in some nearby hotel for a day and will come back later. They understood that I am ready to pay the price for one night. Immediately they told me that there system is showing that they have one room available and they can facilitate my checkin however the cost is half of the room stay for a night for my 4 hours early checkin. I agreed. But I now understood the scam behind this. I have been a frequent traveller, this was the first such experience. The breakfast is just a tick mark in the services they offer. Room is just good enough for sleeping . Location is one plus point. They are heavily understaffed so much so that they denied sending anyone to get my luggage from the room too during checkout. Won't recommend, won't come back. There are many other options .
