Grand Pioneers Halong Bay Cruise 1

Review: I love that it's a new yacht, so it's clean, modern and great quality. I wish there was a longer stay. Sight-seeing activities are fun albeit too much pearl farm activities. Cost seems a bit high but all meals are included, so that makes it worth it. We had lobster, beef wellington, steamed crab, international and local Vietnamese delights. There was more than enough food for all appetites. Staff were friendly, worked efficiently and some like Mr Boo, Ms Thien, Mr Levi, Mr Happy, Mr Dat and Mr Jerry seemed like they really enjoyed their work and went over and beyond to make our stay enjoyable.

Positive points: Luxurious, spacious rooms, food quality and options were so good, excellent service, the waitress nyi did a great job.

Review: The ship cabins were roomy and the staff service was wonderful. The cruise ship director was alway attentive and lively. My entire cruise went bad when people in our group got terribly sick 6 of 9 people. We heard other guest got sick too in second day. This is the first cruise I went on that so many people got sick. The rest of the cruise was terrible and taking 4 or more days to fully recover more lost of a good vacation. That is why I am giving a bad review.

Review: We were debating between many boat experiences for Ha Long Bay and we were super happy and impressed with our experience on Grand Pioneers. The triple bed room was so spacious and all of our meals were amazing, one of the best that we’ve had in Vietnam. I would highly recommend!

Review: Grand Pioneers Cruise is really a very nice cruise. We stayed for one night. The experience was great. Food was really nice. The staff was very courteous & they prepared vegetarian meals for us. The magician was really great. Overall recommended.

Review: Everything was smooth and on time. Jerry was very patient. He kept activity boat waiting. I forgot my bag on the cruise despite several reminders. They bought it back nevertheless. Jake our waiter was very kind. I am horrible eater and made a lot of mess on plates. He didn't mind. Chef Andrew made wonderful food. Whole staff was very courteous. Best cruise ever. Hot water pool and I came in winter so it was a blessing. I will always recommend this one over others. Love the Grand Pioneers Crew

Positive points: Fabulous cruise and well worth the money. This is once in a lifetime experience for me personally and I thoroughly enjoyed my time here. I was able to meet other solo travelers and we had an amazing time together. The excursions were really fun and there was a never ending supply of food for the guests. The pool was amazing and so was the happy hour. Alcohol isn’t included in the fare but the prices aren’t that bad (even for a luxury cruise). The gym is excellent and I was able to sneak in an early morning workout. Fortunately, the weather was great when we were on the cruise and the sunset was fabulous to watch. Halong Bay had a lot of cruises around the area but I wouldn’t call it crowded.

Also, amazing customer service. The pickup from Hanoi, the waiting area in Halong, the boarding and disembarking and finally the drop off. Essence Grand is running a fabulous service here and I wouldn’t hesitate to pay for it. The staff are quite amazing and honestly, they are the biggest reason why this cruise is a massive success. Thank you so much for making it a fabulous trip.
