The Light Hotel Halong

Review: For the price it was ok. The breakfast and staff was nice. However, the room was humid because of this the clothes and sheets felt like a bit wet. The bathroom was spacious but when you take shower, water was not drying quickly. Also, we had a wall looking to the window, so no air. No pool at rooftop to use.

Positive points: I had stayed at The Light Hotel in November 2015. Jenny Hoang and her mother were wonderful hosts back then, and the hotel was very clean and comfortable. Jenny arranged for me to go on a 1-night cruise while in Ha Long.
When I decided to revisit Vietnam this October, I contacted The Light Hotel and was pleased to learn from Jenny that her family still owns and operates the hotel.
Jenny and her mother have not changed in the past 9 years: still warm and very welcoming. Joyful reunion.
The hotel has expanded from 2 levels of rooms to 6 levels. My room was on level 5 with a view overlooking part of the city. The accommodation is new, spacious, very clean with all the amenities of a 5-star hotel. The breakfast was varied and delicious.
In summary, I highly recommend The Light Hotel for your stay in Ha Long. You will cherish your time at this family hotel.

Review: We had a great stay here. Center location and easy to access to Sun World and the beach. Great pool on the rooftop. Btw, hotel needs to upgrade the breakfast process because we got up late (still in breakfast time session) but almost food are ran out, we didn’t have much options

Positive points: Our triple room at the back corridor facing the east was bright, sunny, and airy, and having a little patio accessible from the outside, overlooking the Sun Wheel and cable car line at the distance. Overall, a charming, quiet, relaxing place, with a rooftop pool, although it was closed for us in January.

Positive points: Place is pretty new so all the facilities and stuff are still quite nice. Awesome view on the pool area, pool size is decent enough. Family room is pretty spacious, cozy and quite relaxing to stay at. Owner is pretty friendly and accommodating! I asked for a little birthday cake to surprise my son and she provided one free of charge! Really really appreciate that!😊
