The Yen Residences Halong

Review: The hotel was supposed to be in the city as it states but was not. The rooms were so dirty. Bed linens were dirty. Everything was just awful. Breakfast was no good. Would not recommend.

Positive points: The Yen Residences is a beautiful place. It seems brand new and everything was very clean and nice. More importantly is the excellent service provided at reception by NaNa. She provides all the needed information on Ha Long cruises, buses and things to do in the area. The problem is its a fair walk from anything at all...no 7/11 or anything nearby....restaurant are a decent walk away....no view.
It's in a bit of a pretend plastic manufactured city..

Review: During our trip to Ha Long, we had the absolute pleasure of staying at The Yen Residences, and it was nothing short of extraordinary. From start to finish, the experience was seamless and genuinely memorable.

The property itself is stunning – a perfect blend of modern luxury and serene, minimalist design. The rooms were spacious, spotlessly clean, and thoughtfully decorated to create a peaceful retreat.

The staff at The Yen Residences were incredibly welcoming, their warmth made us feel at home. A special thanks to the Manager, Trong Nguyen, who was very helpful in assisting us for planning a great Ha Long Bay cruise trip, money exchange and transfer to Hà Nội.

The Yen Residences is perfectly situated in a quiet area, offering a tranquil escape, yet it’s still close enough to the beach or the main city centre area, the Sun World amusement park, and local markets. It’s the ideal base for exploring everything Ha Long has to offer.

Recommended for family with young children or friends.

Positive points: Nice hotel, comfy and spacious rooms. Pool upstairs is nice and with a decent view of the bay. It's an odd area - clearly being built up, lots of construction going on, and not much to do/many restaurants. But a great spot for a jump off to a Ha Long bay cruise, and the staff were very sweet.

Review: New Hotel in new developments area. The environment is quite nice inspired by Europe style house. The hotel room is really spacious and all staffs are friendly and helpful.
The only drawback is cannot communicate to them via Agoda chat.

Positive points: The confort and location

Review: We booked an apartment which included a kitchen, the kitchen had no kitchen utensils whatsoever, empty. We were told they only provide it if you stay longer than a month. The pool was closed with no warning, the sauna you have to pay for, I asked on two evenings to use the sauna and instead the steam room was turned on, the second time I was told the sauna takes too long to heat after waiting about 30 minutes, so they just turned it off whilst I sat in my room waiting for the temperature to rise, door was locked when I returned. The gentlemen who worked the reception in the evening hung up the phone on when I called at about 9pm, I assumed it was a mistake and called back to no answer. Room was nice and clean but the facilities are poor.

Positive points: My room was spacious and clean. Hotel staffs were incredibly helpful and friendly.

Positive points: This location is in a very quiet neighborhood since it is still under construction. Late night there are no shops or convenience stores open so be aware. Breakfast options were great. Staff were very welcoming.

Positive points: The beds, pillows and room were exceedingly comfortable. The rooftop pool looked nice but there were no pool towels available. It’s walking distance to the centre.
