Sena Cruises - Wonder On Lan Ha Bay

Positive points: The room was nice. It was clean. They sell it as 2 days one night. We arrived at 3 pm and were asked to be out of the room by 9:45 am the next morning. The food was not great. For $400 Canadian we expected more. A nice hotel in the area 4 or 5 star is 150 max. Views were beautiful no drinks included. Overall it was a 5 for us. A lot of trying to pump up things that were not a big deal to entertain by the staff. Get a nice hotel and do a day cruise for 50 bucks.

Review: Overall I would recommend this, but it is pricey (which they all are). I really liked the look and feel of the boat and that because of it’s smaller size it wasn’t very crowded. I’ll say that part of the experience was meeting other travellers and hanging out. The food was very good. The activities were all basically executed by one guy, who did mostly a good job. So for an overnight in Lan Ha bay, I’d say to book ahead. But if you want to save some money, then a good alternative is to simply do a day cruise with activities instead.

Positive points: the staff and service on the boat was great.

Review: They ran out of food and there isn't much provided for vegetarians and people with sea food allergies.

They ran out of bread for breakfast, which was really disappointing. And vegetarians predominantly got fried rice and chips most of the time.

Given the amount paid for the trip. They surely should have considered more on travellers with dietary requirements. This was disappointing.

They don't accept cards, which was not told prior or in the correspondences. Only Dong and
US dollar ..!!. Lucky we had the some money otherwise I am not sure what we would had to do ..!!

Positive points: Everything! Beautiful boat (looked almost new), accommodations were excellent - believe all rooms have a private balcony but there is also a lovely sun deck on the roof. I had read reviews that said food wasn’t great - not sure who those people were or what they’re used to eating - food was Incredible!!We said we ate everything and from bbq’d oysters to fresh grilled prawns to 4 course lunch we’re not disappointed.

They also provide you with reuseable water bottles and free filtered water! beer and drinks run $2 usd - $8 usd but are well worth it, especially when you have access to fresh water and don’t have to use plastic bottles!

Sena also goes to southern part of bay (but you get to see central on way in and out) and so while there are still ships around you feel more secluded and in nature. Don’t miss morning kayaking or tai chi!

Staff was what made this the experience. From our amazing tour guide Tommy, to the cruise manager Ha, to all of the amazing crew - thank you!! Cannot recommend Sena Cruises enough.
