Do River Homestay

Review: Situated just in the middle to beach and old town this homestay provides a family atmosphere with very helpful owners.

Positive points: The best stay we've had in all of Vietnam!
We were greeted with a welcome drink, found free water in the room, and a map that helped us get around in the surrounding area.
Our host Chung gave us a free room upgrade to a room with a balcony and we loved every bit of it. We stayed for 4 nights, got daily room service (a first for us in Vietnam) without even asking for it. And the room was absolutely SPOTLESS. You could have eaten off the floor. Chung was available for us at any time, literally replying to messages within minutes, helping us with all kinds of things and going over and above to ensure that we have a pleasant stay. She is incredibly kind and caring, showed an interest in us and just made us feel so welcome. It also needs to be said that she makes a killer banana pancake for breakfast!
The location itself was perfect for us, right next to the river and kind of between the beach and the Old Town. An hour's walk to the main area in the Old Town or an 8 mins Grab, and 25 mins walk to the stunning beach. We are so glad we didn't stay in town - it is craaazy busy. We truly appreciated our peaceful stay and chilling out on the balcony. We were also provided with bikes free of charge, it's so easy to get around.
At the end, Chung arranged a taxi transfer to Da Nang Airport for us for 300k which was quite a lot cheaper than a Grab.

Review: This was a high quality accomodation at great value in a peaceful location close to lots of local amenities and activities. They offered a free bicycle to use also, many homestays charge at least 50k dong for this. The hosts were extemely accomodating and helpful throughout my stay which I extended for several days for cash payment. I highly recommend this homestay. Would also be good for couples ...

Positive points: A very comfortable bed. Most beds in Vietnam I find too hard for me but this one was a ‘Goldilocks’ bed, - just right.

Review: 3-4 km from old town but the owner provides free bicycles so i enjoyed riding into old town, beach, coconut village & even terracotta museum. I don't care for the museum, it's not as nice as ceramic craft & boring ride. The home is near the market so stop at market then go 4 more lights to get to old town.

Positive points: Wonderful place! The staff is incredibly kind. We were greeted with a drink once we arrived and were given a map showing us where we can explore in Hoi An. The room was very spacious and clean. Room cleaning was done every day, and they replaced our towels every day, too. There's both air con and a fan in the room. The bathroom was one of the nicer ones I've had whilst travelling in vietnam. Fairly large and super clean. There was a wet shower, but the bathroom is big enough that the entire bathroom floor and toilet don't get wet whenever you take a shower. They were very helpful in helping us find a money exchange place as well as helping us book a bus to Ho Chi Minh. I really appreciated how quickly they respond on Booking as well! I asked about booking a bus, and they responded with all the options and pricing within a few minutes. There was also a bit of a mix-up (entirely our fault) where we thought items had been lost or stolen in the laundry, and they handled it with so much kindness and professionalism. When we later realized that we had misplaced the items, they were incredibly gracious about the entire situation.

Review: I had the most incredible stay Do River Homestay! My host,Chung @giachungledang went above and beyond to make my trip unforgettable. From arranging seamless airport transportation to capturing beautiful memories through photos and giving me a local tour of the town, she truly made me feel at home.

The accommodation itself exceeded all my expectations. The spacious, clean, and beautifully adorned house with a garden provided a tranquil escape. What's even more remarkable is the cheap rate per night.

Located just minutes away from the town's breathtaking beaches and pretty cafes, coconut village and the old town this Homestay is an ideal base for exploration. I can't recommend it enough - it's the perfect place to experience Hoi An’s beauty and hospitality. Thank you, Chung,for being the best host mum. Indeed, I found a home in Hoi An.
I will surely be back and would stay longer. 🌴🌟🫶

Review: The homestay is so spacious but affordable. It's so quiet and so relaxing place. I extended my stay to 12nights. I was feeling at home away from our home. I highly recommend this for solo traveller and couple🙌 Just 6-7mins away from ancient town thru motorbike. They have free to use bicycle so you can explore Hoi An on your own. Chung (the owner), will gonna help you in everything you need there ,even suggesting for the itinerary if you don't have yet. Chung is so accommodating and I will definitely go back here again💛 Found my home in Hoi An.

Positive points: The staff were lovely, let us check in early and really helped us out when we were scammed by a taxi. The room was nice and the bathroom was big and clean. We had housekeeping everyday which was a nice bonus. Free cycle bikes for rent which made the location more convenient

Review: We loved this homestay. The room was beautiful and clean (cleaned every day) and the owner was very helpful and kind. The free bikes were a huge plus as well since we could bike into town every day.

Positive points: Lovely hosts - Chung will help you with anything. The area is halfway between oldtown and the beach so only 5-10 min bike/scooter ride both ways. They have free bicycles to use. Would definitely stay again whenever I’m back 🙌🏻

Review: Room was spotless and the bed was very comfortable. The family running the homestay were great and made us feel at ease. They also have bicycles you can use each day at no charge.
