Review: We dp recommend this property in Hoi An. It's well located and an easy walk to the main attractions/ Property is modern, clean and husband & wife staff are friendly, helpful and speak english well. There is a spa called Hami just around the corner which is great for a massage and there's great coffee at the 3A cafe and 9 Grains bakery a few minutes away. Stay here if you're visiting Hoi An.

Review: Our stay at Gia Vien Homestay couldn’t have been any better. Our room was spacious and clean, with a hot shower and lovely balcony. Linh cooked us an amazing breakfast everyday, with two baguettes each, an omelette, coffee and a fruit salad which included mango. Linh even made us delicious banana pancakes one afternoon. When it was time for us to leave Linh and her husband dropped us at the local bus station and spoke to the driver to explain where we were staying in Da Nang. A perfect stay, thank you so much!

Positive points: This was by far the best homestay of our entire month in Vietnam! We truly felt like we were staying with a Vietnamese family, while still experiencing the authenticity of the culture. The room was simple but spacious, with a lovely balcony and everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Our host was incredibly thoughtful, giving us the space we needed while also being available for anything we required. She even let us check in early after arriving on a 6 am night bus, which was such a relief. When we mentioned we were celebrating a religious holiday, she made us feel so welcome, preparing a special and delicious breakfast just for us—such a meaningful and sweet gesture.

Her husband also arranged very affordable bikes for us to explore the area. The location was ideal—only 15 minutes from the old town but far enough to offer a peaceful retreat away from the crowds. A highlight of our stay was visiting her tailor shop. I designed and had items made in just one day with Lin, and the price was fantastic. There are plenty of tailoring options in Vietnam, but I highly recommend going with Lin—she’s truly talented! We would absolutely love to stay here again!

Position: 10 min walking from old town, this is a good thing because the old town is busy at night so here is quiet and you can sleep quietly

Review: We had a lovely time, it’s about 15 min walk from the old city, everything is clean.

Positive points: Lihn was the most warming and welcoming host. Spending 4 nights there felt like I had joined the family. As a solo traveller, she was spot on with being helpful and offering advice but also giving me space to explore myself.

She was quick to help with washing, hire scooters and offer quick lifts to the beach when I couldn’t get a grab taxi. Nothing was too much for her.

I was keen to get items tailored and naturally she took me to her shop. After seeing the quality of the first order of linen dresses I designed on day 1, I decided to place more orders and ended up with a lot more than intended! A credit to the quality, attention to detail and care she and Đài have as I can be quite picky!!

Positive points: This place is run by the loveliest people. Linh noticed it was my birthday from my passport and surprised me at breakfast with a huge bunch of flowers! The rooms are really big and comfortable. Air con, balcony, super clean. Breakfast was really nice and a big portion. The location was good - roughly a 20 minute walk into the old town and a 40 minute walk the other way to the beach. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Review: My mom and I stayed here 4 nights instead of the 3 we had planned. We would have stayed longer but had to catch a flight. The rooms were pristine and the breakfast incredibly delicious. It was so much food we had to ask for our fruit be placed in the fridge for a snack later. We truly felt at home and can’t iterate how much we loved staying at Gia Vien. Our hosts went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and welcome. The only minor downside was the distance to the old quarter. But it was actually nice being away from the hustle and bustle of town. The neighborhood was very quiet. Would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend for others to stay.

Positive points: Linh was brilliant. Knowledgeable about places to go and where to eat. She was very accommodating and even got up to help and see us off at 4:30am!

Positive points: We had a great time with Linh and her family! She makes a super delicious breakfast and looks after her guests very lovingly. Bike rental, excursion tips, etc. - no problem at all! We felt so comfortable that we stayed two days longer. Many thanks for the wonderful time! ☺️

Review: I would recommend this accommodation to everyone I know visiting Hoi An. The family were fantastic and probably the best hosts I have met. From the minute you arrive (to a personalised handwritten sign) you feel welcomed. Nothing was too much trouble for them. They helped us arrange some tours in Hoi An as well as our onward travel. We decided to extend our stay from 5 nights to 6 because we enjoyed it so much and Linh even cooked us a meal on our final night. Both that meal and the breakfast was delicious and the location is easily walkable into the old town or can take a short cycle to the beach (bikes available from the homestay). The room was also spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated - you can tell they really take pride in their home. By far the best place we have stayed in South East Asia.

Positive points: From the moment I arrived, I was greeted warmly by the owner, who even treated me to a delightful pancake, setting the tone for a fantastic stay.

Review: We stayed at Gia Vien Homestay for 5 nights. Linh and her husband is very accommodating. She did everything she could to make us feel at home. The breakfast is excellent, she even made us Saigon iced coffee! The room was very clean. Our bed was a tad on the hard side but Linh added extra softness to the mattress for us. The aircon works very well. The WiFi is good. Gia Vien Homestay is situated about 15min walk from the Old Town of Hoi An and 5min motorbike ride to the beach. Linh offers motorbike rental or bicycle rentals. She also helps out for tour bookings if ever you need it. We really enjoyed our stay & felt as if we were a family member. We highly recommend this homestay 😀

Positive points: An accommodation that is like a home. I have no words to describe how I felt. But what I can say for sure is that the harmony of the owners and their way of being can be seen and felt everywhere, from the plants and bonsai trees in the yard to the decoration of the house, there is so much atention for detailes! The lady even made me different color combinations of the fruits at the breakfast.
It is a location that I have not met anywhere in Vietnam and i am coming in Vietnam for 4th time.
Very, very clean, everything done in such a way that the tourist has all the comfort. It is an oasis of peace in the middle of a city. I extended my stay, I felt so good.
