Positive points: Stayed here nearly 3 months in the end.

It's in a quiet area but still close to the center and the local co-working space is within walking distance.

Kelly is a great host, kind and responsive.

The rooms are spacious, have good beds, ac, and are modern and well kept. Internet is good too. And the breakfast was always nice.

Positive points: The location and the swimming pool. It was incredibly clean. The hostess was lovely and helpful. Close enough to Hoi an to get a taxi, but in lovely paddy field countryside with lots of supermarkets, restaurants and massage within walking distance.

Review: Highly recommend this incredible Villa for anyone looking for a peaceful and quiet stay with comfortable, clean and modern amenities. The location is set right in between Old Town and the beach, perfect distance to hop on a bicycle and be at either one within 10 minutes, and is in a serene spot overlooking the rice fields for a gorgeous sun set and sunrise. The owners are what make this place extra special- always welcoming you with a big smile. I recommend having the delicious and filling breakfast that they provide with seasonal fruits and a variety of offerings you can choose from. The rooms are spacious. The owner provides quick laundry service. Overall this place was exactly the oasis I was looking for, allowing me to go to the ocean in the mornings and old town at night, and have the rice field small lanes to ride a bicycle (included with your stay). Outside of the Old Ancient Town hustle and noise, but close enough to enjoy it all and then come back to your quiet sanctuary of Sam Villa! Would love to return here someday- thank you Kelly and family for an amazing stay! 😊

Review: From the moment I stepped through the doors of Sam Retreat, I knew I was in for something special. The hotel host Kelly gave us a warm welcoming with a smile and gave us the information we needed to tour around Hoi An.

Where do I even begin? The staff here don’t just provide service—they offer an experience. Every smile, every greeting, felt genuine and warm. They anticipated my needs before I even realized them. From the personalized welcome to the detailed attention throughout my stay, I was constantly amazed at how dedicated they were to making me feel at home. It’s clear they prioritizes guest satisfaction on a level few hotels achieve.
Be sure to book your tours through Kelly! She’s not only legit, but also offers fair prices without the overcharging you’ll find with other operators in town. You'll get great value and an amazing experience!
Breakfast is homemade and delicious.
Rooms were clean and you’ll get the best rice field view from the balcony, sunset view is breathtaking.

I would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be coming back!

Positive points: A very peaceful place with beautiful views and lovely staff. The photo makes it look quite isolated but it's in a residential area close to anything you might need. There's a great restaurant less than 2 mins walk away in case you don't want to go further and you have a local high street and local market within 5 minutes walk.

Bed was very comfortable, breakfast was good.

I had a room without a balcony but the view from the window was fantastic.

I hope to return here later in this trip

Review: First of, Kelly was amazing and helpful. We could communicate with her quite easily and she seemed like a genuinely nice person.
Location is good if you have a motorcycle, not so much if you are on foot. On the other hand view of rice fields is really nice.
Our main issues were the smell in the bathroom and the week Wifi. I would also recommend installing an AC in the lobby, it gets very hot there.

Positive points: Kelly, the receptionist was amazing and so helpful! she constantly checked in on me via whatsapp as I was travelling alone and the breakfast I had every day was delicious. Thank you Kelly!

Review: The location is very near to the big rice field. I could ride a bycicle everyday for free. The pool is awesome. The staff is very nice, welcoming and helpful

Review: If you are a solo traveler or a couple or a family with kids this is a super place with great view on the rice paddys, 4 minutes drive from the beach, 5 min drive from the center of Hoi An town, 2 min walk to an ATM, 4 min walk to the market Cho Ba lé where you can enjoy the famous juices of Tam (SInh To Tam) and do your morning vietnamese marker ! You are close to everything AND you can sleep because you are far from the main road. Just go and enjoy <3

Positive points: I was here for a total of 2 weeks, for vacation and also to work as a digital nomad (there is a coworking just 3 minutes away by bike). For me it was the perfect place because there was nothing lacking here and the service staff made every effort to make us feel comfortable, which I really appreciated. We had the top room with a balcony view of the rice fields, it was fantastic. The pool was also clean and I was able to swim there every morning before work. Bicycles were free and scooters could also be rented spontaneously. It's not far to cycle into town or to the beach. I had a wonderful time here and when I come back I will definitely stay at Sam Retreat Villa again 😃
