Barbados Cherry Villa

Review: TLDR: good service, OK hotel, terrible room.

My review is not critical of the hotel itself as much as the room on the ground floor that we were given. Nowhere during booking does it specify it is a ground floor room. Furthermore, the staff did a fantastic job obscuring the fact that it is connected to an outdoor garden through which I saw a lizard peeking! Plus, there were flies in the room, dead bugs on the ceiling!! The photos make it look like a beautiful place but honestly it was really filthy and disgusting.

Even giving the staff the benefit of doubt that they cleaned the room their level best, the fact that it is connected to the open outdoors is a flawed design choice for this room, idk what they were thinking. And once again, I am primarily disappointed that during the booking it does not clearly state the exact sort of arrangement we are signing up for.

Lastly, yes the staff were warm and friendly, but that doesn’t change the fact that I had the most uncomfortable stay out of all the hotels in Vietnam so far. Cannot recommend to anyone!

Positive points: The staff are amazing. Very helpful, fluently in English. The hotel is super amazing stylish. They did a room decor surprise for a birthday. Best recommendations.

Review: For the price, location was a bit far from main drag of town. The staff was nice but they were very loud, there was a man who had night shift who kept yelling during the night. Like everywhere else they kept trying to upsell us. We had a room near the receptionist desk and could hear everything and they treated it like their living room. He at one time slept in a cot near the front door. It felt like we paid too much money to sleep in their guest room. Also they cooked fish for their morning meal and we could smell it in our room. In addition we got the room for the tub but there was no hot water. So the perk of the room we paid for didn’t exist. Had big regrets staying here.

Positive points: Had a great stay at Barbados Cherry Villa in Hoi An. Jenny was the most amazing host, she reached out beforehand & helped set up airport pickup for us as well as gave us plenty of recommendations for what to do in Hoi An.

When we arrived at the property, the rooms were spacious and clean. Location is also good about 5 min grab of 20 min walk from the main Hoi An area.

Can't compliment Jenny's hospitality enough, all her recs were amazing and she was very communicative and welcoming!

Positive points: The property is beautiful. The neighborhood is relatively quiet. The quality of the breakfast was fresh. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable. Offering bikes and being able to book scooters and more from the property was also an added bonus.

Review: Room is clean and comfortable. Staff is friendly. Walking to Hoi An walking street is quite far, but if you're riding bike, it only take a few minute. Hotel environment is quiet and relax.

Review: As a solo traveler, I stayed in the villa for 7 nights in the standard room and it was the most relaxing stay ever. It is very calm, neat, clean and safe with all the necessities needed. The villa provides everyday cleaning service which is included in the price already. The accommodation looks exactly like their pictures and I really loved that modern but minimalist and calming atmosphere, pretty luxurious actually. The value for money is definitely excellent.

The villa is very well located between the old town and the most popular beach of Hoi An, you can get there in 10 mins with grab! I could enjoy the pool all by myself and you can also borrow a bike to look around. The area is quite peaceful but with good amenities especially coffee shops and restaurants as well as spa.

Big thank you to Jennie too who was very warm hearted and nice from the very beginning. I really appreciated the taxi booking she proposed me even before arriving, it was very convenient, safe and even less expensive then grab. She helped me throughout my stay and made me feel very comfortable. As a local, she shared me all the best adresses to visit (restaurants, cafes, tailors, …) as well as guided tour. I don’t think I’ve ever met a receptionist that much dedicated to customers !

I’d not hesitate to come back to Barbados Cherry Villa for my next Trip in Hoi An, I don’t think I can find better value then here.

Positive points: Jenny was the best host, gave us tons of recommendations and made sure we are well informed. Very easy to find, beautifully located outside of the town noise in a neighborhood with similar villas. Extremely cozy and modern.

Positive points: Beautiful design, spacious clean rooms in cute neighboured. Located walking distance to Ancient Town. Owner of the hotel and Jennie at the front desk were warm, helpful and lovely.

Review: The staff was particularly helpful and very kind. My favorite part about my stay was the beautiful furniture and lovely bathroom. I cannot stress enough how staying inside felt so calm and healing.

Review: Whole building design is beautiful. And the room is spacious and complete with hair dryer, fridge, AC, fan and toiletries. Swimming pool is cute and sunset view.

Important its super CLEAN and in quite area, best for peaceful stay to have good rest.

Its in between anbang beach and old town. If you love to walk then its actually quite walkable to the town or you may choose cycling. There place for you to parking. Or just grab bike is convenient too.

Staff are helpful, friendly and communicate well in english.
