Review: I stayed at another hotel for most of my trip. I couldn't extend an extra day so left a day early to stay at Hoang Thanh Thuy 2. I wish I'd stayed here from the start. The hotel is new and clean - most importantly, the air conditioner works! It's not in District 1, but there's 2 nearby international ATMs and it's easy to get a cab. It's near the airport. The staff was great. It can be a little noisy at night (I think the windows are only single paned), but it's definitely at least a 3 star hotel.

Review: We were lucky to get a room high up and near the back of the hotel (407) so we did not hear the very heavy traffic outside.......if we had 401 or 402 I expect the noise would have been much worse. The staff were very good, and the room was very clean and everything was in good condition. The hotel is close to the main airport, and should normally take about 10mins in a taxi, but watch out for rush hour jams, particularly on Friday evenings, when an hour could easily be added to your journey.
Good value, and I would stay there again.
