Review: What a lovely host Oanh is. Nothing is too much trouble and she is just so efficient and polished at everything she does. Food was great, location was great - a memorable stay
Positive points: If you want to do real homestay, this is it. Super family, wonderful and relaxing. Host's brother took me on a half day tour visiting different places by boat - really relaxing and learned a lot. I came by bus at night, so it was good there were instructions on how to take the ferry and I got picked up by moped at 10pm. She also helped me make reservations to get back to Saigon, and called all the right folks to make sure I got picked up by shuttle to the bus station. Would definitely stay here again. So appreciated being treated like a family guest!
Negative points: The bed was really really firm - I like firm and this was at the end of three weeks of form beds in Vietnam and this beat them all. So just be aware:)
Review: Oanh is the definition pf hospitality. Nothing was to much trouble, and everything was done with a genuine smile
Positive points: We genuinely felt welcomed at this homestay and had THE BEST FOOD on our trip. Our host ( mom ) cooked us a great breakfast every morning and her authentic dinners were so delicious 😋. Her daughter and mom also helped too. Cold beer, wine and water are available as well as relaxing hammocks. We watched the sunset just next door which is a 5 minute walk. The tour that she organizes is also great!😊
Positive points:
I can really recommend this homestay, as I had such a good time I decided to stay for one night longer than I planned. Oanh and her family are some of the most warm, friendly, hard working people I've ever met, and they treat you with such kindness and hospitality. The family operates a couple different homestays on An Binh, so if she doesn't have room you can ask if her brother or sister does.
The house is a beautiful traditional house, and sitting in the hammocks on the porch you can have a chat with her or the other guests, or just relax and listen to birds singing in the yard.
I did the boat tour with Oanh's brother and it was a great experience, I've never had fruit as sweet as the longan and rambutan we picked from the trees during the tour. There's bicycles you can borrow to go around the island, and I was also able to rent Oanh's sister's scooter to drive to Sa Dec for a day.
Also, Oanh is an amazing cook and her food is the best I've had in Vietnam so far! I told her she should start offering cooking classes too, maybe you can ask her to show how she makes some of the food :)
Thank you Oanh and your family, hope to see you again!
Review: Oanh and her mother are very nice, dinner was awesome, the homestay is clean and comfortable.
Positive points: Oanh is the nicest homestay host I have ever had. She is super friendly and cooks the most amazing meals. The best food I had in Vietnam was cooked by Oanh. Also her sister and mother are really friendly. The location is quite remote but I really enjoyed this and you could experience real Vietnamese life. No tourists to be seen anywhere. Also the homestay is not big. There are only a maximum number of 8 people there and you can connect well with them over dinner.
Negative points: Nothing

Thanks for that lovely stay! 🫶🏻
Review:
The host picked us up from the boat terminal and drove us on her motorbike back to her house which was very kind of her. It was prob only 1km away but the lift was much appreciated due to the heat and our big bags. The room was very comfortable, with a very good mosquito net. Free bike hire which was great to explore the local area.
We had dinner there which had gone up from previous reviews to 130000 vnd. But it was delicious.
The host is extremely welcoming and friendly. Speaks very good English.
Would recommend staying here if you are making a trip to an binh.
Positive points: Wan was so nice and friendly. We stayed two nights and it was great. We did the boat tour and it had a ton of stuff on it. I recommend it.
Review:
This is a real homestay where you're part of the nice family. There's a relaxing atmosphere, especially when you relax in one of the hammocks in the garden. A nice breakfast is served and included, you can join a local dinner for a fair price (recommended!).
The free bicycles allow you to discover the country side and it's only a 10 minute walk to the ferry that takes you to the city for only 1000 VND (2000 with a bicycle)..
Only downside is the hard mattress, but that seems to be standard in Vietnam.
Positive points: The homestay is right by a little tributary with trees, bamboo. There are hammocks out front. It's a short walk from a market (get up early to see that) and the riverfront.

Came on!
Positive points: Oanh spent time with us, cooked amazing food (we had breakfast, lunch and dinner there), and gave us some local tips too. Her and her daughter are very welcoming, and so kind. One of the highlights of our trip!
