10.0 The place to stay in Vinh Long - Cathy 29-01-2025

Positive points: Yennie and her family were all beyond amazing. Anything they could do to make our stay more enjoyable they did before we even asked. The food was outstanding.

Negative points: The roosters were annoying. She did give us ear plugs.

10.0 Lovely Homestay - Diane 25-01-2025

Positive points: Yennie and her family will soon make you feel like you are family too. From your cozy room you will enjoy all the attention to detail. The outside gardens are decorated with beautiful plants and pottery from the local factory. The meals are delicious. We were even invited to a family/friend New Year celebration of wrapping rice cakes. The entire experience refreshed us to our core.

Negative points: Nothing

10.0 Cozy and comfortable green paradise - Angelica 05-01-2025

Positive points: Everything in the property!
First, Yennie. She is the one who makes this place unique. Speaks perfectly in English and, outside of her property, an amazing facilitator. She takes a lot of care of her guests, and I could not thank her enough for her attention.
Second, the house itself. The homestay is a cute, comfortable, and green paradise in Vinh Long. The room was cozy, and even though it had no windows, it felt open, fresh, and inviting.
Third, the amenities and services. The breakfast included was a delight every morning, and I was very excited to see what was coming the next morning. Dinner is paid extra, but the menu is totally worth it. The bikes from them are in great shape and great to explore the area.
Finally, the location is great, because you can get to the ferry really fast by bike and with the bike the city is within reach to great cafés and restaurants.
I'm glad we stayed 5 nights at this beautiful homestay. It did feel like a home far away from home.

Negative points: This is not IN the house: the neighbor's rooster that is loud at night, but Yennie was very kind to provide ear plugs exactly for that issue.
The tours recommended were nice, but not worth the high price. They were too expensive for what they offered.

9.2 What a lovely family - Hui 06-03-2024

Review: Yennie is the best host in the world. Her family are all so friendly and helpful, lovely dog and cats too. Her mother cookes delicious food, from breakfast to dinner.
The place is easy to reach by grab. Our room is beautifully decorated with a nice open-air bathroom and a peaceful little outdoor garden. Super clean and comfortable.
We didn't have the chance to join their tours but we did have a very nice a few hours cycling along the nice riverside all the way to Mekong.
We got to try the delicious local specialty chuot dong upon request, so tasty. You cannot miss that if you are a foodie like me.
We had a great weekend there.

Thank you for the wonderful experience yennie!

Review: This place couldn't be better. The hosts are the most welcoming family. Yennie speaks perfect English and has an answer to any question you have. The accomodations are comfortable and so we'll designed. Everything has been thought about.
The food is fantastic and they can arrange almost any tour you could want to do in this area.

10.0 MUST STAY! ((: - Mara 05-06-2024

Positive points: If you are considering staying here, DO IT! Everything about this place is perfect! Yennie and Vivienne were the best. The were so sweet, helpful, knowledgable, friendly, and accommodating. They put such thought into small details throughout our stay and it made it exceptional! Yennie's communication was very timely and even after we left when I had a question, she got back to me right away. The place is nicely tucked away and offers peace and quiet. When we arrived, we were warmly greeted and welcomed along with some fruit and tea. The home cooked meal by Yennie's mother was delicious! Her father picked us up from Ho Chi Minh and drove us back... he was a great driver and the drive was not too long. The rooms and bathrooms are very clean, and the AC was very refreshing. We did not have any issues with mosquitos in the rooms either. While at the property, we took the bikes and rode around the island which was easy and fun! We also did the pottery tour which was really cool! It is a good amount of time... not too long or short, and the tour guide was great as well.
I traveled with my husband and my parents, and when we talk about our trip to Vietnam, this was definitely the highlight of it! This is a hidden gem! You are missing out if you do not stay here. ((:

10.0 We loved it - Chi-An 11-02-2023

Review: Mekong Pottery Homestay was an absolute delight!
Yennie, our host, was incredibly warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Her mother cooked us delicious meals and her father made sure we didn't miss out on any of the local experiences. We had a fantastic time exploring the area by boat and bicycle, and visiting the local pottery. The homestay is located in a peaceful and serene setting, surrounded by beautiful scenery.

Yennie, her mother, and her father all went above and beyond to make sure we had a memorable and enjoyable stay. They were always available to answer any questions we had, and provide us with recommendations for things to do in the area. The homestay was clean, comfortable, and well-appointed, with all the amenities we needed.

Overall, our stay at Mekong Pottery Homestay was a truly wholesome and unforgettable experience. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique and authentic homestay experience in this part of the world. Thank you, Yennie, for making our stay so special!

May you exceed in every aspect and beyond your potential!

10.0 Wonderful cultural stay with a personal touch - Tania 23-12-2022

Review: A wonderful homestay that was made special by the human touch. Yennie was a heartwarming and creative host who enabled me to experience the local culture of Vinh Long.

The room was clean and spacious with high speed internet, so it's suitable for those who need to stay connected.

There are personalised touches all around from the decor, to delightful welcome messages written on a giant leaf. The lush garden tended to by Yennie's parents provides an oasis and contrast for those coming from the city.

The tours are highly recommended too, as you will be able to catch a glimpse of the culture and the people. It's a contrast from Ho Chi Minh City.

Thank you, Yennie! Warmest thoughts!
