Song Me Home

Review: We only had a short stay at Song Me but it was exceptional!!
The room was really nice, and the family are so friendly and helpful, arranging a boat tour, and exploring the area on the free bicycles was really good.
One of the highlights was the awesome dinner we had there, it was so tasty and so much food.
Highly recommended, would love to comeback and spend longer

Review: The family enjoyed the trip very much, although it was short, it was very fun, suitable for families with young children and groups of friends. The rooms were clean, the food was delicious and affordable, and there was also kayaking on the river.

Review: Great location with both road and canal access, good for boat trips which can be organised by the host. A very welcoming, relaxing and authentic experience. The hosts are so helpful.

Positive points: Room 1:
The room is spacious and bright. Well designed, new and of European standard.
There are only 4 rooms for rent so there are not too many tourists there.
The staff was friendly and helpful, several of them spoke good English.
The included breakfast was filling and had some local sweets as part of it. The fresh fruit was great.
The sitting area along the canal was wonderful.
A menue with different meals available..
The possibility to rent a scooter.
The ambiance was peaceful, quiet and relaxed.
The lights in the room were bright and good.
Overall it is a great place in a nice setting, surrounded by plants.

Review: Ms. Hong and her family are amazingly hospitable. The place is lovely and absolutely clean. Worth a try for sure.

Review: If you need to disconnect from the noise and pollution you’ll be well serve. New facilities, welcoming host already ready to help. I would stay here much longer but my visa expires.

Positive points: The family was very lovely. The food was phenomenal! My wife speaks vietnamese so we spent a lot of time with them, joining the family for dinner etc.

Positive points: Sông Mê homestay is a hidden gem in Vinh Long. The property is gorgeous and lush, our room had a beautiful balcony, and the beds were very comfortable. The family was incredibly welcoming and we were even invited to their Rambutan orchard during the harvest. We really hope to return and stay longer.

Positive points: The place is really great. The rooms are newly renovated and very clean - especially the bathrooms. AC works super fine and it was not facing the bed directly (I love these details) the bed is a bit softer than the usual Vietnamese ones - still harder than the average European.
The food was awesome (I had the elephant ear fish, it's exceptionally nicely arranged and prepared, and big enough for two)
The staff is super friendly. There are three generations living in the house the elders don't speak English but so there best with Google translate, the daughter speaks English and German like a pro and the young ones try there best with basic school English.
What is really exceptional about the place is how helpful they are and how much they enable their guests to experience the surroundings by boat bike or even motorbike if you ask nicely :)
