Review: Great value two night stay in the Ruby hotel, where we were able to use the two complimentary push bikes to explore and also hire a days motorbike hire. Helpful reception staff who kindly booked our onward bus to Can Tho, and a quiet stay, with the added and very welcome bonus of a small rooftop pool, with views over Vinh Long town. Close to the Vincom plaza shopping centre and with the moped we were able to explore the famous brick kilns, river ferries and beautiful An Binh island. Local restaurants within a short walk and we were very happy with our stay. Thank you to everyone at the Hotel Ruby!

Warm, kind & welcoming Staff, from charming helpful receptionists to friendly cleaning crew.
Very comfortable room, authentic location within a neighborhood offering good food options and walkable to more options within the core of the city.
A nice pool and terrace for lounging and taking a breather from Aprils baking weather.
Negative points: The divisions between rooms all but eliminated any possibility of a sound barrier resulting in unavoidable spillover of neighbors in their room.

Negative points: It’s well equipped place, but they have NO clue about the hospitality business. The elevator in the lobby “dings” constantly, especially when the construction crew (at least 6 people making separate trips) that starts hammering away in the building at 0700 is on their way down for breakfast -around 0630. I got up to see what hoard was making the incessant elevator noise… I honestly thought it was a kid smashing the buttons. I got downstairs and there are people going over building plans and having breakfast. At 0700 the real fun begins… hammering and drills and some kind of grinder that was shaking the place. Honestly, this place should be de-listed until it is finished being built!! And I feel bad for not writing this review earlier to warn other travelers -sorry! They offered to refund one nights stay, but the noise was horrible both mornings. Unacceptable if you want to, you know, SLEEP past 0630 while on holiday… no tours offered, and a language barrier at the counter (maybe they just don’t care -they sure don’t care about keeping the place quiet!).

Stayed 2 nights in standard room. Friendly staff but little English spoken so rely on Google translate.
Spotlessly clean. Very comfortable bed. Shower near toilet so floor gets wet, be careful. TV has some English channels.
There is a small swimming pool on the roof which is nice to cool off.
No breakfast so walk a couple of blocks to get banh mi with eggs and then have with an excellent coffee at one of the many cafes.
It's a couple of km to the main part of town and the ferry to An Binh island.
I enjoyed my stay and recommend this hotel

Review: This hotel was recommended to me and it didn't disappoint. Well appointed compact rooms that are nicely finished and furnished. Comfortable bed. Very friendly and helpful staff. It is in a very quiet area, tucked away from the main road. There is a supermarket and some really good food places very close by. We didn't have time to try the rooftop pool. This hotel would be my first choice when visiting Vinh Long again.
