The location was top notch — close to subway stations and in a lively street with restaurants and convenience store. The room was practical and comfy, equipped with everything you need. Staying at Joy Guesthouse really contributed to how great my trip to Seoul was and I look forward to staying there again! :-)

Review: This is a no frills accommodation but the real gem of this place is the host! He is super kind, welcoming and hospitable. I had to message him a few times for some requests and he was always friendly and responsive :)nnEverything you might need for your stay is provided, such as fresh towels, washing machine and dryer, even an ironing board and travel adaptors. I also loved the snacks provided at the small pantry area!nnLocation is convenient, about 5-10 mins walk from the nearest subway line and there’s a convenience store nearby too. Would stay again! :)

Positive points: I had an amazing stay at Joy Guesthouse! The location is unbeatable—close to public transport, restaurants, and all the main attractions, yet quiet and peaceful at night. The room was spotless with a super comfy bed, and there was always hot water for showers. Review: Absolutely recommended to stay here! Equipped with almost everything and very convenient. We came during winter (February) and heating works really well in our room. Definitely will book again with joy guesthouse.

Positive points: Mr Choi was very accommodating. He even waited for us during the early hours of the morning since our flight was after 12am. He has provided instructions and tips on how to go to places, even going out of his way to show you the nearest train station. For the affordable price, he has provided snacks and drinks, free of charge. Communication was also not a problem, he has always informed us if he is not in the hotel and he lets us know when he is available to help. Will definitely stay here when we come back to S. Korea.

Positive points: The hotel’s location was great with many restaurants nearby and close subway stations. The hotel also offered many facilities such as a washing machine, a kitchenette and even lended out umbrellas. The owner was incredibly nice and helpful, he was a bundle of joy! The only cons are that there were a few stains on the walls and the room could probably use a little bit of paint and we couldn’t find drying rack to dry our clothes so we got creative. But overall the hotel was clean :)

Review: We spent a week here, and everything was perfect! The place is very comfortable, located close to the central part of Seoul, and surrounded by restaurants and shops. You can rest well, and the amenities are excellent. A big plus for the free-to-use washing machine, snacks, and small kitchen. It’s truly a perfect place to stay in Seoul!

Positive points: We were greeted and showed around the guesthouse. It's a very cute house, quiet, and clean. They offered free snacks and toiletries. The room smelled clean, the bed was comfortable, and for the price, you can't beat it. Theres AC, heater, fridge, and a small window to let fresh air in. There's many restaurants and a GS25 convenience store within walking distance. I recommend this place, we enjoyed it. Thank you for the warm greeting and stay.

Review: Place was near the subway stations (Dongguk Univ and DDP) and bus stops. Had a lot of restaurants as well around the area. Joy was so accommodating, he will definitely help you with everything you need during your stay. I definitely recommend this place!

Positive points: Great value and thoughtful, considerate host. Loved the snacks and coffee. Cozy rooms with everything you need for a comfortable stay including earplugs, though I didn’t find the neighborhood loud. Short walk to the metro.

Review: Joy Guesthouse is located in the area where there’s a nearby bus stop and the Airport Limousine’s first stop in Seoul. The subway station is also nearby. There are lots of restaurant options in the same street and a nearby convenience store. Everything is near. Joy is also very nice and responsive. Although the guesthouse is small and simple, it has everything you need. Would definitely consider staying here again.

Positive points: Love this hostel! This was my second time staying here. The location is incredible, with many many great restaurants nearby. Very comfortable and relaxing environment. Also yummy snacks and coffee on the first floor.
