Sands River Hoi An Villa

Review: This villa is worth every cent! Mrs Hien is so kind and amazing and makes the best breakfast!! It’s also located in a small area filled with lovely people. Highly recommend!!

Positive points: We enjoyed our stay. The room was very nice overlooking the river and the hotel was close to the beach. The breakfast was decent. The owner was sweet and energetic.

Review: Absolutely great place, the host Hien was so friendly, helped us book lots of tours as well, cooked us amazing breakfast and meals. The place is at a great location also!

Positive points: We have been traveling around SE Asia for three months now and this was probably one of the best places we’ve stayed. The owners are so helpful and friendly, food cooked fresh, location was peaceful, the views are beautiful and the pool is lovely. We booked all our activities and travel through Mrs Hien. We wish we could have stayed longer.

Review: If you have decided Cua Dai beach is where you wish to stay then Sands River is the perfect place to stay. Your host Hein and her husband are lovely people who go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Hein can assist with any travel arrangements and it's easy to see she wants you to have the best experience possible. The location is very good and backs onto a large river where you can sit under some trees in the afternoon and enjoy the breeze and peace. The property is in excellent condition and very clean. I was very comfortable there and it's very quiet at night but also very safe. The pool area is another great spot to relax and it is well maintained. I think Hein and her husband are a couple of the hardest working people I have seen, they are always busy making sure the guests are happy and the property is spotless. Highly recommend you stay here when you visit Cua Dai.

Positive points: Everything is wonderful. Host is an amazing cook and takes excellent care of her guests. The breakfast is crazy good. Excellent location near the beach. Comfortable beds. Amazing views. The best pool.

Review: Enjoyed our time here! Not far from the beach and a short trip into Hoi An central - the room and bed was very comfortable, this would have to be the cleanest place I have stayed throughout my ventures in Asia! Mrs Hien and her family were very kind and welcoming, thanks again!

Positive points: Everything about this property is wonderful! Not only is it beautiful and peaceful, but it is exceptionally clean and comfortable. The bed in our room was ginormous and extremely comfy. Unlike some of our other stays, the water pressure and temperature in the shower was also fabulous. additionally, the property is nestled between the beach and the river. There is ample space to enjoy the breeze coming from the water and a cold beer in the afternoon in the garden. More so, Mrs Hien is a fantastic hostess, and truly makes this property outstanding. Her assistance with booking tours, arranging transport, providing delicious meals, and even negotiating with local taxi drivers to return lost mobile phones, is invaluable. Everything about our stay here was extremely relaxing and enjoyable.

Review: We had the most wonderful stay at Sands River Hoi An! The villa was very beautiful, clean and cool. It has a great location by the river and walking distance to the beach. It's a quick ride away from Hoi An Old Town. The wifi was strong as well. Plus, the staff was super nice and helpful. She helped us book tours and also made delicious food. Highly recommended! Positive points: Nice little property with a lovely owner. 5 minute walk from the beach and 15 minute Grab from old town Hoi An. Nice garden area and rooms are spacious and cool.

This is more of a homestay than a hotel! Which is not necessarily a bad thing, you definitely get a more personal vibe, but my friend and I felt quite bad when we would arrive home late in the evening and have to call the Mrs Hien to unlock the gate. So just a good thing to note it’s quite a small place.

However it did have some nice parts - she gave us tailor recommendations for her sister, and for her family’s beach restaurant.

Review: I had a lovely stay at the Sands River Hoi An Villa, the rooms were comfortable and clean, and the host Hien was extremely helpful and welcoming. It was great to have the use of the bicycle to explore the beach and surrounding area.

Positive points: We had a wonderful stay at Sands River. Before we even arrived we were contacted to ask if we needed transport. We were warmly welcomed on arrival and shown to our room which was spacious and perfect for our needs. Mrs Hien was able to take our laundry and offered to book any trips - we did the nearby coconut boats and she both booked our tickets and arranged transport for us. Breakfast is ordered each evening and served fresh the next morning at the time you like - I have been missing the pancakes ever since leaving. There are also bikes available for free hire which was a great extra for getting about, although the location is great for walking to the beach and restaurants for those preferring to stay closer. Huge thanks to Sands River, will return for sure.

Review: Perfect location away from the hustle and bustle, next to river. Great place to relax, or get a grab into Old Town. Very clean and comfortable rooms, highly recommend this place to stay.

Positive points: We really loved this place. It was very clean and cosy. The breakfast was tasty. It had a lovely garden with a swimming pool and another green spot next to the lake - don’t miss a chance to chill there under the palm trees. Also, the location was great - very close to the beach and 20 min by bicycle to Hoi An ancient town. The accommodation provided bikes for free.
