Review: Pu Luong is absolutely magical and still beautifully preserved. The hotel staff is excellent, the food is great, and the views of the rice fields from the room are priceless. Coming back soon!
Positive points: We loved the beautiful rooms, the lush garden and attentive staff.
Negative points: The only “downside” of the property is that the shared spaces (lounge, dining hall, etc) didn’t have a view - only the rooms with views (ours had a garden view). There was no place to chill/lounge with nice terrace field views.
Review: Clean. Quiet. Unique. In the middle of nature. Serene.
Positive points:
The location on the rice fields is really unique. We could see the sunris right in front our terrace. The bungalows are really nice and spacious. Comfortable bed and nice bathroom.
Staff was nice and helpful. Food was amazing.
Negative points:
The bungalow a are by definition in the middle of the nature: we happened to have a rat or squirrle leaving on the prof which was making quite some noise over night and there was a hole on the ceiling from which it could easily get into the room. I would have expected that to be considered at the moment of payment as it majorly affected our sleep…our stay was fantastic otherwise: we decided to prolong our stay of one night!
Depending on the season the bungalow can be quite cold as it s not well isolated but I would consider that normal considering the context.
Review: Pu Luong has a beautiful setting. The little Boutique hotel keeps a refreshing atmosphere in the middle of the lush vegetation. The staff is friendly and helpful.
Positive points:
The bungalows with mountain view are beautifully situated overlooking rice paddies. The restaurant is under the stilts of a traditional house. Food is freshly cooked from local products. The owners and staff are very kind, attentive to your needs and helpful in every way.
I was there in December which is low season. The rice fields are harvested, meaning they're not green and it can be chilly. Anyway the area is still very beautiful.
I went for a walk on my own, approximately 20 km. I went down the valley through lots of villages until Lang Tom and then up through the next valley. Just before the village Chom Ui there is a trail that will take you over a pass and back to the original valley and the resort, thus making a circuit so you don't have to backtrack.
Negative points: The rooms are in a shared bungalow meaning that you can easily hear your neighbours.
Review: Remote, and with some of the most spectacular scenery I have ever experienced, Pu Luong is an absolutely incredible place to visit. We wanted a treat so booked a room with a view, but ended up staying in room facing some trees. The room we had was clean, with a comfortable bed and the staff were helpful. However, we had a number of issues during our stay so, overall, we didn't feel this place was good value for money. Would recommend looking around the valley for a better value retreat.
Positive points: Location , very friendly. Couldn’t do enough for you
Negative points: Brighter lighting
Review: This really is a fantastic place to base yourself when exploring everything the Pu Luong valley has to offer. The hotel staff were great and the owner has big plans. I expect this place to be very busy post COVID - good luck 👍
Positive points: The room that we chose ( mountain view) was amazing, the view to mountain is great, its a family hotel, and most of the staff did their best to make us feel home. Things to improve is the quality of breakfast, make the mirror in bathroom a bit higher so the 1.75m + people can manage to use it, will be good as well to add a trash bin in the living room
Negative points:
8% Tax was included in the booking price, the hotel did tax me again, i did not like that.
the price of renting the motorbike agreed on was 100k, the final price i was charged is 300k, i did not like that either
Review: Very helpful, friendly staff. Nice view, good food... wonderful.
Positive points: This was the best stay yet we’ve had in Vietnam. It is so beautifully nestled in among the jungle, the pool was clean, dorm room beautiful and traditional, food was exceptional, and the staff were so friendly and helpful. Would absolutely stay here again!!
Negative points: There were some ants in the room, but nothing that disturbed us since we had mosquito nets to sleep!
Review: Absolutely fantastic property, staff, and location. Couldn’t have been more peaceful. Comfy beds beautiful porches. Dinner was a bit pricey but otherwise great!
Positive points: The place is really quiet and ideal for a relaxing stay with a nice view on the rice fields. The staff were very kind and helpful.
Review:
I had an absolutely great one night stay at Pu Luong Boutique Garden. The whole surrounding area and nature Park is amazingly beautiful and the village where the homestay is located is immersive and authentic. The view was amazing and the owner went out of his way to accommodate me, helping with directions, petrol, arranging a dawn tour around the rice fields and village and preparing all meals. All staff were very nice and friendly and I look forward to returning.
The Google maps address is slightly incorrect, so if you're coming by your own means call the owner ahead to have someone meet you. Also, the village doesn't offer much by way of entertainment or services, so bring your own snacks and relax in the country atmosphere.
Positive points: An absolute gorgeous place to stay. Dorm rooms were massive and clean and comfortable. Excellent facilities, beautiful pool, magnificent surroundings and great food options. Staff were super helpful and friendly and spoke good English. Highly recommended.
Negative points: Nothing. Fab Stay!!!
Review: Staying here was a highlight of my trip. The staffs were exceptionally nice, attentive and helpful. Great view from the pool and room. I loved their breakfast and coffees. The common space - restaurant and pool are open and really relaxing. I spent most of my time in Pu Luong at the place because of how enjoyable it great for is!
Positive points: Amazing views from the balcony. Comfortable beds with mosquito net.
Negative points: We would have felt more comfortable having a glass pane in the window of the bathroom (it is all open, just shutters ).
Review:
Go here if you love nature. Sit on the balcony and marvel at the mountains and stretches of rice paddies. Absolutely wonderful scenery. Cool off in the pool when it gets hot.
Friendly staff and owner.
Positive points:
Pu Luong is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful and pristine areas in Vietnam, and the Pu Luong Boutique Garden perfectly reflects the beauty and landscape of this reserve. The resort harmoniously blends with its surroundings, creating an enchanting atmosphere.
The staff are incredibly kind and attentive, organizing fascinating excursions that allow guests to explore the area’s natural wonders. The on-site restaurant is a delight, serving delicious traditional dishes made with fresh ingredients sourced from the reserve.
The accommodations are stunning, featuring beautiful rooms on stilts with breathtaking views of the rice terraces, reminiscent of traditional homes in the region.
Overall, my stay at Pu Luong Boutique Garden was magical, and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a unique and serene getaway.
Negative points: A word of caution for Western travelers: be mentally prepared for the presence of large spiders and insects. They are harmless, so there’s no need to worry it's all part of the experience in this lush reserve where the rooms are nestled amid vibrant greenery!
