Positive points:
The property is on a remote location (near waterfall) with a very beautiful view over the rice fields and mountains. We had a very good sleep in family bungalow although it was pretty cold.
The family made huge effort to plan our stay and tours with taxi driver through translate. Some information went missing, but we had a wonderful hike and super good lunch in 0km restaurant (delicious food).
Negative points:
If you are planning to visit in winter period the region then prepare little more warm clothes for the night. Family bungalow’s bathroom is open to the kitchen and not really comfortable due to that.
The breakfast was cold (pancakes and eggs), but the coffee was really good.
Positive points: Beautiful place. I have one perfect night with Thai House. People, food, host is really good. I will come back with my family.
Positive points: The owners were incredibly kind and welcoming. The room was cozy, and the view from the bungalow was breathtaking! They were very helpful and even made me a special tea when I had a headache. I felt completely at home.
Negative points: Nothing to complain about!
Positive points: an authentic and relaxing stay in the village surrounded by beautiful hills, valleys and mountains. excellent food. Tam was an attentive and helpful host. thank you for allowing us into your home
Negative points: nothing
Review: Amazing experience in one of the most beautiful areas imaginable. Excellent food and trekking. Stayed 2 night, would like to have extended.
Review: Vị trí thuận tiện, không gian thân thiện
Positive points: The beds are so comfortable. It's extremely tidy and clean, such a perfect place to rest and enjoy the surroundings. The stream running though is beautiful, great food. Very welcoming host made me feel at home and gave helpful tips for the surrounding area.
Negative points: Nothing
Review:
Booked on Agoda. After I arrived they refused to honor the price.
They said it was a mistake and quoted twice as much. I went somewhere else.
Positive points: The location was nice, nearby there are beautiful rice fields and the walk to the waterfall is only 15 minutes.
Negative points: The whole experience was weird. Despite having a booking through booking.com, and corresponding with the home stay before arriving, they did not seem to have our booking. Luckily we arrived with a tour guide, who after checking my email confirmation appeared to convince them that we had a booking and they should prepare a room (no one at the home stay spoke English so I’m not entirely sure what the conversation was). Once the rooms were prepared, they looked nice however we soon realised that what looked nice in the photos was not nice in practice. The sheets had mildew on them (so smelt), the bath that looked lovely in the photos could not be used as there was no more than 2 minutes of hot water (or a 3cm bath deep). Also the bathrooms, while apparently private, were not connected to the rooms (you have to go outside) and were not clean. Despite breakfast being included in our booking and using WhatsApp to communicate with the owner (who does speak English) regarding payment and having breakfast before leaving the next day at 730. No breakfast was provided (given we are travelling with 2 small children this was frustrating as it made our onward journey more difficult). Finally, while I understand mosiquites can’t be avoided in natural settings, the rooms didn’t close adequately (with a foot gap between the top of the door frame and the door sealed only by a curtain).
Review: Location and room were good, although advertised as garden view we only had windows facing the dining area. I think this homestay may more catered towards Vietnamese tourist than western. We arrived at check in time but the manager was away at a market so we couldn’t check in for an hour till someone else could arrive to let us into our room. At the end of our stay we were charged 200 each for dinner which was double what we have paid at every other homestay, as well as being charged 60 each for breakfast which was advertised as part of the room charge.
Positive points: Nicest beds I've stayed in at a dorm. Very nice toilets too. Beautiful resort would come back.
Negative points: Food is expensive
Positive points: Great scenery. Super location to be, but hard to reach for our drivers (involves uphill driving). Nice to walk around and down to explore the village. Very lovely host family and great grandpa who was always active: taking care of granddaughter, weaving a rug, sweeping the floor or doing something else.
Negative points: the food options didn't work out very well for us. The breakfast got lost in translation and we do not recommend to take sample dinner-set which happened to be for us the worst culinary experience during our Vietnam trip. AT the same time we had some other and very good meals in the homestay, so our dislike is not conclusive as well.
Positive points:
Food was good (but overpriced) and the family was nice and try to help us as they can. They don't speak English tho, translate's apps will be your best friends.
Location is really nice.
Negative points: Unfortunately, the room we booked was double-booked by the hotel, and they put us in a lower category room. Our toilet was supposed to be private, but because it was outside the room, everyone used it, and the owner did nothing to avoid it.
