Positive points: The hotel is beside a convenience store and the location is walking distance to mrt and myeong dong shopping district and Namsan Tower .

I don't understand how this property was certified as a hotel by the government. I will also be raising the issue with the Seoul Metropolitan Government, which is responsible for managing this property.rnIt's hard for Booking.com, which can only review properties based on photos, but I strongly urge you to remove this property's advertisement from the site. Please also refer to the Google reviews for this property.

Review: An overpriced hotel with no redeeming qualities. nThe room has an unpleasant odor. The so-called breakfast is two slices of bread, with no butter or spread of any kind, and a sachet of instant coffee.nThe staff told me what I couldn't do and the penalties for various things like dirtying the sheets. No discussion of what you could do.nMuch better value elsewhere.

Positive points: Its a hostellll!!!! The hostel was very shabby everything is so far from the pics. Tiny towels, no daily sheets replacement, no exhaust fan and the owner/staff always enter the room to open the windows and i wonder why?!

Review: I stayed here as a solo traveler and was extremely disappointed. The room was horrible – dark, dirty, and felt completely unwelcoming. Worst of all, it had a terrible smell that made it hard to relax or even sleep. It was nothing like the photos. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, especially if you’re traveling alone and looking for a clean, comfortable stay. Not worth the money.

Positive points: It was a place to shower and sleep. The AC worked and the room was comfortable. It fit my needs. but a ten would maybe give teh wrong impression 8 seems fair.

Review: I expected that, for this price, I’d get a small room—maybe in an older building—and I was totally fine with that. But I wasn’t expecting to be “welcomed” by the worst host I’ve ever encountered. He gives orders as if you’re a 5-year-old: “No eating in the room,” “When you leave, open the window,” and so on. He even writes down your credit card number so he can charge you later if he thinks you’ve eaten in the room or if the towels are too dirty.n

Positive points: One of my worst experience as I was taken to a totally different facility that is a run down motel. To my surprise a part of the old building was being pulled down. I literally ran away without anyone even coming to ask how are you or this construction work is going to happen. Don’t trust what you see and Booking.com should ensure they know who they put up online. It’s a fraud.

Review: Doesn'tfeel really safe. I think I didn't get deposit refund... And owner didn't allow me to take photo of the contract... Everything else, it'sa good experience... But probably not going to repeat to check in here 🙏

Review: It’s okay for short stay

Positive points: We liked how close the hotel was from a subway stop. The host was kind and well-organized.

Review: the worker is very rude, he enters the room anytime he wants with his keys. not helpful, room very small and not so clean

Review: super near transportations like train and bus! it’s our second stay and it’s worth the money no hassle at all. plus mr kim is very accommodating! will definitely go back here! ☺️

Positive points: Rainbow Hotel is conveniently located just a 2-min walk away from the Chungmuro subway station. There’s also a bunch of cafes, bars and eateries in the surrounding area. It sounds like it would be on a noisy street but it was quiet! The neighboring guests were also quiet. The rooms are promoted as soundproof and I didn’t have any issues with noise, though I also stayed here on a couple of weeknights. rnrnMr. Kim (I think that was his name? the owner or manager?) was the highlight of my stay. I had lost my plush doll, which I foolishly kept in the outside pocket of my backpack so it must have fallen out. He went out of his way to check the CCTV footage to track down where it was. It had fallen out of my bag at the main entrance and a guest, who happened to be in the room right next door to mine, had picked it up and saved it! The plushie means a lot to me so I was thankful to both Mr. Kim and the guest for being so kind to help me! rnrnOther reviews give Mr. Kim a tough time but he’s doing his job of enforcing rules that keep the place clean and keep the peace. As a business owner, I get that. I found him very helpful and at times funny as he cracked a couple of jokes. Just be very patient and use Google Translate for anything beyond basic small talk!
