KOI Resort and Spa Hoi An

Review: Location of the hotel was good. 10min away by car from the hoi an town.

We booked a 4 room villa with a private outdoor pool. It was a nice villa but old. Can’t expect too much with the price. However, the cleanliness requires a lot of improvement.

We arrived at the hotel at around midnight and the villa smelled stuffy like no one had stayed for a long time. The floor was dirty, one of the aircon was not working properly and the rooms was not well cleaned. We did share this feedback the next day, the staff were very nice and came to our room to apologize and fixed the issues. The housekeeping ended up cleaning the room better, they also added a diffuser in the room. The rooms got better after turning on the aircon for a while with the fan on.

The weather in Vietnam has not been very nice and raining so all the rooms were quite musty. If you do book a villa, I would advise you to contact the hotel to ensure they turn on the fans and the aircon in advance to avoid the humid smell.

Breakfast was amazing with many options. The resort itself is pretty, it’s just they should focus more in the maintenance and cleanliness.

We had a great stay and would probably return back. Great and super helpful staff.

Positive points: Beautiful property and very nice staff. Great breakfast spread. The property also provides comfortable shuttle service to the Old Town.

Absolutely no atmosphere though. They have 3 bars (including a roof top bar) and none were ever open while we were there even though the hotel said they had 60% occupancy.

The rooms were all clean but the whole hotel desperately needs some TLC, with a lick of paint, replacement of old chairs, cracked tiles and rotting wood on the balconies.

Overall it’s a good hotel with lots of potential, but just somewhere to stay as there’s no bar or anything when you come back from town - even if it’s early!

Review: We spent 3 nights here, great location, beautiful room overlooking lagoon with bath and separate shower. Staff were helpful. Breakfast buffet ok. Pool spotless great place to relax after our morning bike ride, have a sandwich and drink. We cycled through padi fields, to hoi an old town, to the main beach area and to the coconut boat tour so plenty to do if you want alternative to going to town or lying by the pool. Nice restaurant/laundry/ massage place within walking distance if you want an alternative to hotel facilities. Took shuttle bus to town a few times to explore. Great facilities and will be back.

Review: We stayed there for 2 nights and really enjoyed the property. The only thing i was disappointed was the food in the resort restaurant. Its about 15-10 mins cab ride from Hoi An

Review: Everything is good except for buffet.

Positive points: It was a lovely private resort and breakfast was amazing. Unfortunately we could not make the most of it as it rained the few days we were there. 2 pools in the resort and buffet breakfast. The staff were ready to help with any situation for you and they provided a lot of valuable information at check in. They were the best part of the resort to be honest.
