Review: There was no information saying the room I intended to book was in motel area, it made me assumed the room was in the hotel. The pillow, sheet cover and blanket was also not very comfortable.

Review: So close to getting a great review. The hotel itself is pretty nice. The room was perfect for my needs. Comfortable bed, desk as a workspace, pretty good lighting. Coffee/tea/kettle. (Though, as with most hotels, nobody thinks to put an electrical outlet anywhere near the coffee service)

The reason it missed a great review was because of lack of proper maintenance. I could see marble cracked and broken around the doorframes, and the double doors on my floor near the elevator were not operating properly because of this. My main issue was that I wanted a hot shower and didn't get it. I asked at the desk, they radioed someone, and then curtly nodded at me to go away. I know there was a language barrier, but it was a little disconcerting.

I went back upstairs and ran the tap in the sink. Yes, the water was now hot. But I'd already taken a cold shower. Later, after I had gone out for dinner, I came back and had another cold shower.

The next morning before I showered, I again went downstairs to ask them to do something about it. Same thing. Radio someone. Give me a sullen look. Wave me away.

Shower was hot. For exactly one minute. Then it went cold again.

So, evidently there is an electric heater unit buried in a wall somewhere and it keeps tripping out. I guarantee the problem didn't begin with my stay. Management needs to fix their shit.

One bright spot was the security guard. I believe his name was Huong, but I'm not sure. He didn't speak any English, rather, he knew German. But he was so kind and helpful. I really appreciated him.

I would still recommend the hotel. It was a nice place, new, beautiful. But like most new, beautiful, comfortable hotels in southeast Asia, it won't stay that way unless management puts some time and effort (money) into proper maintenance of their facilities.

Review: The hotel is clean, reasonably priced, and the receptionist is very enthusiastic.
