Review: Everything is fine except that I requested a non-smoking room but the smell of cigarettes is strong. It seems like the hotel doesn't use any deodorizers. I have children with me and I personally don't like the smell of cigarettes, so it's uncomfortable when entering the room. Fortunately, I still have some incense to burn for deodorizing, otherwise I wouldn't be able to sleep. The bellman reported that they would deodorize the room for me, but I haven't seen anyone come up to do it.

Review: My recent stay at the Central Hotel in Thanh Hoa was a mixed bag of experiences. Situated in a bit further from the center of the city, the hotel offers a promising blend of affordability and luxury, though not without its drawbacks.

Firstly, let's talk about the positives. The Central Hotel boasts a commendable price-to-quality ratio. For the cost, the amenities provided are fairly satisfactory. The lobby exudes elegance, setting a high expectation for the rest of the stay. The staff, for the most part, were polite and accommodating.

However, despite its 5-star hotel, there were noticeable cleanliness issues. The aging wallpaper peeling off in corners and the lack of cleanliness in the bathroom's silicone joints, showing signs of mold, were particularly disappointing. These issues detracted from the otherwise pleasant aesthetic of the room.

One significant downside was the lack of effective soundproofing. My room's window lacked proper rubber insulation, leading to disrupted sleep due to the noise of passing vehicles. Upon bringing this concern to the reception, the response was less than satisfactory. Instead of offering a solution or room change, the staff merely closed the curtains, suggesting that I should block out the noise myself. This lack of proactive problem-solving was disappointing, especially for a supposedly upscale establishment.

Despite these shortcomings, I must admit that the overall stay was still relatively enjoyable, albeit with some reservations. For those seeking a decent accommodation option in Thanh Hoa at an affordable price, the Central Hotel could fit the bill. However, potential guests should be aware of its limitations in terms of cleanliness and noise insulation, and manage their expectations accordingly.
