Review: If you're looking for a spacious, quiet place away from the hubbub of Hoi An but still within walking distance I highly recommend this homestay.

I was recovering from an accident and the owners were understanding, kind, and just lovely to be around. I spent most of the time in my room under doctor's orders, but the owners were able to give me everything I needed, including space, the entire time I was there.

I will always recall the sounds of the owner's guitar in the morning, and will always fondly remember my stay there. 10/10 for value and ambiance and the owners

It's 2km from the center, so it's peaceful and quiet and if you rent a bike you'll be in the center in no time.

Perfect location, the owners were super friendly and helpful. They had the time to take pictures with and drink coffee together. The view from my balcony was amazing. You can see the whole river and the sunset 🌇

Review: Great homestay if you want to avoid the crowded center of Hoi An. It only takes a few minutes to reach by motorcycle. Taking a Grab (bike taxi, one way) costs less than 1€.
The host, an elderly couple, are so friendly.
Even though they don't speak English, they still did their best to communicate with the translator. So don't hesitate to ask them, they are happy to help. For example, they organized me a taxi back to the airport for a fair price.
My only minor criticism is the pool, which unfortunately didn't look quite like it did in the photos. Although it was cleaned during my stay, the water appeared more greenish and murky rather than clear. Because of that, I hesitated to use it, but it didn't affect my overall stay.

Positive points: I really liked this homestay. Quiet, cozy place on the river bank. The rooms are clean with new furniture and there is a nice swimming pool. The owners of the place were very kind and responsive, they did everything I asked. If you don’t like living in the center, where there are a lot of people and noise, then this place is ideal for you. The center is easily accessible, just 20 minutes on foot or 10 minutes by grab taxi.

Review: I would highly recommend this homestay if you want a place to stay away from the center of Hoi An. I spent two weeks at Gio Chieu and was well taken care of by the older Vietnamese couple that runs it.

Positive points: The hosts made us really feel like being a part of their family. They were extraordinarily friendly, Ho went fishing with my husband and our daughter several times and played guitar for us, they invited us for dinner and local drinks. It really felt like being home. They helped us with everything we asked them for very fast and if there were problems, they found solutions, asked several times if everything was ok now and really seemed interested in making us feel comfortable. The location is so beautiful and relaxing, you're on the relatively quiet countryside with view on the lakes on both sides of the house and a lot of animals such as birds, but in the city in 5 mins! For the price we paid it was perfect. Thank you!

Review: the sweetest couple runs this place, they do everything to make your stay super enjoyable, the husband plays the guitar so well I cried, the river view is the best (room202) calm locations not far from the center and old town by bike. great lunch spot just down the street by the river recommended.

Positive points: Despite the language barrier, the hosts made a lot of effort to help me and my daughter with what we needed. The room was huge and the surroundings are peaceful and beautiful. We enjoyed the swimming pool. Good value.
