Review: Really love the place, so close to all attractions in old town. Lovely family and extremely helpful. Free bikes rental. My favourite stay in Thailand.
Positive points:
The location of the homestay is sensational: it's so close to the UNESCO recognised historical centre but set back one street from the hustle and bustle of riverfront bars and restaurants so it feels like a little urban haven.
Hosts are so kind and keen to make sure that everything about the stay goes smoothly.
Bikes to use free of charge was a bonus!
Review:
Nice homestay, I can say just positive about it.
Clean (not smelly ot bugs).
No noises, you cant hear neighbors and other rooms.
Warm family atmosphere where you'll feel like your home.
The homestay is just in the middle of the old city where the fun is.
I recommend strongly.
Positive points: Nice owner, can change room.
Negative points: Electric problems, can not turn off lights! Smoke from reception area!
Review: Susan and her family were so friendly and they helped us arrange our tours and where to go. That was very helpful and we are grateful to them.
Positive points: The place is ok, but the pictures are not the same as the reality, the rooms are a little bit smaller, worn up, but is not a bad place to stay a couple of days if you want to visit hoi an.
Negative points: The owner doesn't accept card for payment, I had to pay with cash for the accommodation, and was a lot of cash, and when I asked for a taxi, his price was 100k more than the rest of the town.
Review: Phòng sạch se, chủ nhà thân thiện, vị trí đi lại thuận lợi
Positive points: The owners were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good
Review: I think this was intentional done because days before my arrival, I received messages to ask me about my arrival time and also asking me about airport transfers. When we arrived, reception told me they made a mistake no rooms available, but his sister’s Homestay is available. He said he will give a discount because it’s further from the old town and only left a room. Since we were already there, we took it. Then when we were there, the room was smaller and not twin beds. I also checked on agoda for the previous place regarding availability and it was available. When I questioned she said agoda not updated. Anyway, we didn’t fell good about this. Also she tried promoting their eateries to us as well.
Positive points: The best part is the location of the homestay, right next to the Night Market. The room was smaller than expected it was tricky getting out of bed on one side as there was hardly any space between the bed and wall. It did have a tiny balcony which was great to get some fresh air. They offer free bicycles which we didn’t use since it was raining for the entire duration there.
Negative points: It’s a homestay so things are rather informal which is expected. However, the first morning we had an early start and breakfast was from 7am but no one was really there. Had to wait a while for everything to be put together. Also we could tell that the coffee that was there was not fresh and avoided it. We also wanted to extend another night since we liked Hoi An and were told the room was available to do so I went ahead and made changes with the next booking. On the day of the extension, we were told that someone else booked the room the previous night (!!!) and we’d have to check out. We were given the option of moving to the sister’s homestay so we did exactly that - what other choice did we have? Our taxi fare was paid for but we spent the morning packing instead and entirely defeated the purpose of our extended stay. The experience definitely left a bitter taste.
Review:
This homestay is literally a short walk from the old town bridge and nearby restaurants as well as street vendors, which is very convenient in the evening. Plus, from a certain time (maybe 6pm or so), no vehicle can come into that street. My room was facing the street side and I was worried it may be too noisy in the morning but it was pleasantly quiet. In the evening, you can hear the techno music from the nearby bar but after a while, you really cannot tell.
Things to keep in mind:
1. They do not have a lift, so be mindful of luggages. The host (a young man, the youngest of the host's family) actually helped carry all luggages down for us.
2. Their double bed is actually bigger than a queen size bed, possibly as big as a king size. There are certain rooms with twin beds, so please make sure you specify that at the time of booking.
3. The host can help make all kinds of arrangements if needed: laundry, car services, tickets to local attractions, etc. Just make sure you ask around and ask for pricing and details.
It is a cute homestay, very clean. The bathroom, towels and bed sheets are clean (cleaner than some of the hotels I've stayed at), so this is a huge plus for me. If you want a place that's within walking distance of the old town, this place would be ideal.
Positive points: Amazing host who runs this Homestay. The young las (sorry I forgot your name!) was so welcoming from the minute we arrived, he couldn’t do enough for us. He arranged various trips and made our stay hassle free. Rooms are lovely, clean and tidy. Exactly what you need to explore Hoi An. Breakfast included also sets you up for the days ahead. Oh and free bicycles for the whole trip - highly recommend!
Review: They gave us the room on 3rd floor it had amazing view of the Market. It is located very close to the night Market. Staff was very kind and even packed us breakfast since we left early the next day.
Positive points:
Highly recommend!!!
Excellent location very nice service we even got a complimentary juice on arrival and departure. Rooms are clean with AC and comfortable bed. Free bicycles are available any time and they organized a privet car ride to Da Nang for us.
Review:
We had fun in this guesthouse as it was very well located.
Close to walk everywhere, but quiet enough to sleep.
We loved the banh mi every morning.
We had fun borrowing the free bikes and biking in the city and the rice fields.
Jing, Susan and their mother are sweet hosts.
Thank you!
Positive points: Great location very close to old town and night markets. Walking distance to river. Generally clean. Comfortable bed. Owner will take you to destinations for a fair fee. Reasonable view of city. Free bikes!
Negative points: Mould in the bathroom and small amount on ceiling in bedroom. Hot water was broken for two days and when we complained again on the second day the owner tried to gaslight us and told us it was hot when it clearly wasn’t. Small rooms, can hear your partner using the toilet because there is a gap above the bathroom door.
Review:
D Central Homestay is in a great location, only a short walk from the Old Town, the night market and lots of restaurants and food carts. Free bikes are available if you wish to go further afield (although they're not in the best condition but you get what you pay for!). The room was clean and comfortable and staff were amazing, so very kind, helpful and nothing was too much trouble. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can highly recommend D Central. There was nothing not to like!

Positive points:
It was our first time to experience a stay like this and the weather was rainy.
We reached the homestay and the guy there greeted us. He speaks good English and explained us the map and things nearby.
We also took his help to get our parcel to be delivered to our next hotel in a few dollars that we forgot I our previous hotel. The guy is just super and very helpful. They offered umbrellas as we went out. They re a lovely family running the homestay i will visit again in future.
Negative points: Nothing as such. Everything good.. Bathroom water wasnt flowing well but they changed our room next day There are no lifts may be problem for old people but for us it was ok. Just weather was damp but even then we liked this old part of vietnam.
