Thuy House Hoi An

Positive points: Staying at Thuy House was wonderful, my husband and I really didn't want to leave, but it was time to move on.

Great location, close enough to the center, but away from the city noise. Very spacious clean room, great view from the balcony to the palm garden, own kitchen, all amenities.

The hostesses of the house, two sisters, are very friendly and kind. We felt at home, we were even invited to a family Christmas dinner. It was very pleasant and sweet. Thank you for your hospitality!

Review: I don’t know if we received a free upgrade on our room or if Thuy House is just incredible value for money, because our room - or rooms! - were absolutely incredible! TWO spacious rooms: one with a very comfy double bed and an extra single bed, gorgeous balcony with huge windows looking out, wardrobe for unpacking clothes, and plenty of lamps and ambient lighting, and one room with a full kitchen area, sink, big fridge-freezer, dining table, coat rail, sofa, coffee table, and MASSIVE window! Not to mention the large and very fancy bathroom with big sink and even bigger vanity mirror. Every room had lovely decor that elevated the space and made the vibe feel very fancy.

On top of our stunning rooms, our host Pearl was so lovely and welcoming, and helped us out wherever she could with advice and hospitality during our week stay. The location too is great, away from the busy old town, but an easy 10-15 minute walk away, so you get the luxury of quiet whilst still being right near the action. Plus there are plenty of delicious local restaurants right next door or just round the corner!

The only drawback I can think of is the slightly weak water pressure in the shower and hot water that runs out quite quickly, but this was of little concern during our stay. Of all the places we have stayed on our trip so far (at least 25…), Thuy House comfortably takes top spot for us. We were literally jumping up and down with excitement after we first checked in and were shown our room for the week we spent in beautiful Hoi An. If (or rather when) we go back to Hoi An, I won’t even hesitate to book Thuy House again. 10/10!

Positive points: Thuy House was very spacious, the room was exceptionally clean, the bed was extremely comfortable, and the apartment was fitted with air-conditioning. We loved the cool tub, especially as we travelled to Hoi An in September, and it was steamy hot. When my husband and I arrived at our accommodation, the gracious hostess had a plate of refreshments for us. Thank you for taking such good care of us, and we highly recommend Thuy House to travellers who want to be within walking distance of the bustling Ancient centre of Hoi An. Positive points: The apartment was spacious and clean. It was nice to be in walking distance to the old town but not in the very busy area. Pearl, the host is very warm and caring. She organised everything we needed, taxis, scooter hire, laundry and recommendations. She really made us feel at home!

Positive points: We loved our stay here! The apartment is huge and it has everything you need. The wifi is fast and reliable. If you work remotely, you could stay here for months.
The hotel is a short walk to the old town, in a nice quiet area, everyone in the neighbourhood was lovely and always waved when we passed by. We always felt very safe. Make sure to support the local shops that don't get as many tourists as the city centre.
The beds and pillows were nice and soft. Great hot shower. There is a nice balcony to enjoy your coffee in the morning and a big table in the living room which is perfect if you are planning to do some work.
The landlady is fantastic, she helped us a lot and she was always up for a chat. She organised a private car to go to Da Lat with a lovely driver, it felt luxurious compared to the collective busses and minivans you always find in Vietnam. She even gifted us half a watermelon!
We had such a great time that we ended up extending our stay for 2 more days.
Next time we are in Hoi An, we will definitely stay here again!

Positive points: Very well maintained at a good price

Positive points: I recently had the pleasure of staying at a lovely family-run accommodation that was conveniently located not far from the city center. It was a pleasant and peaceful place, unlike some of the more hectic and noisy options in the area. The center, including the post office, was just a 14-minute walk away, and the market and night market were only about 7 minutes away. There was also a small minimart nearby, which was only about 4 minutes away on foot.

One of the things that really stood out to me about this place was the owner's willingness to help with anything I needed or was looking for. They were extremely accommodating and went out of their way to ensure that my stay was as comfortable as possible.

Additionally, something unique about this accommodation that I hadn't encountered before was the hot water system. There was a special switch that you could use to turn the hot water on and off, which was a feature you need to know.
