Review: I stayed 2 nights...I have been cycling around Thailand, Laos and Vietnam for the 3 months and this is the nicest place that I have stayed. Hoi An is an utterly beautiful place ...but is is busy. Staying with Ly at Terra Cotta was wonderfully peaceful and relaxing, there is lots to see and do in the immediate area and it is a short distance to get into the main part of Hoi An to see the Old Quarter. The homestay is immaculate and well run and Ly is the perfect host. I have had a wonderful, relaxing last 2 days.
Positive points: Ly was very helpful and friendly.
Review: Everything at the Terracotta Homestay was perfect! The dorm room was clean and enough spacious good location in a quieter area, only less than 3km to hoi an old town. The staff was kind and helpful, the atmosphere lovely, and the breakfast was just the cherry on top. Will def come back!
Positive points: Such an amazing homestay! The host, Ly, was so lovely, she gave incredible recommendations and was always so helpful. It was such a nice calm oasis outside of the rush of Hoi An.
Review: Host speaks perfectly english and is very friendly. Free bikes and cheap motorbike rent. Also free, tasty breakfast. Place was clean and quiet. Definitely recommend.
Positive points: Ly was so wonderful and we had the best time at her home. She helped us so much and we had a lovely room with everything we needed. Breakfast was also fab! We also used the bikes to get into Hoi an and the beach
Review: We had a fantastic stay at Terra Cotta Homestay. Ly was so helpful and kind, inviting us into her home and hostel. The rooms were clean and ready for us. She has 5 dogs that were friendly and ready for a pat. Her breakfast was very good too. We would definitely go back.
Positive points: Very peaceful and relaxing. Breakfast was tasty and the owner Ly was beyond helpful making it extremely easy to book everything I wanted to do while in Hoi An.
Negative points: A little far out from Old Town and the Beach.
Review:
Definitely a 5 star home stay and 10 star hospitality from the owner ( LY ) We stayed in Terra Cotta Homestay for 5 days in total. Whenever we have questioned or anything we needed she would go extra miles and helped us with that even when we not staying at the homestay and we have some problem with the transportation going to Nha Trang and Mui Ne . She gave us all the information we needed also help us to call all her friends and bus company.
During one of our stay she even invited us to have dinner with her family which is very nice. 🤩🤩
Would definitely recommend any one of you reading this review to stay with her for a few night or longer 😄
Location is good and she would give you bicycle for free to go around the old town and good recommendation of what to do too!
Positive points: Everything was amazing. The owners are wonderful people, very kind and helpful. Room was clean and spacious, breakfast very tasty. We used a lot of tips from the owner and thanks to her our trip was even better. Best experience so far in Vietnam!
Negative points: Everything was perfect
Review: Hands down my best experience at a hostel/homestay! The host, Ly, was very nice. Beautiful garden to eat a wonderful breakfast in every morning. Perfect proximity to town, especially with the free bicycles for use. I ended up changing my plans to stay longer at Terra Cotta Homestay and Hostel because it felt like home and after a couple of months on the road a taste of home is exactly what I needed. Ly is like a second mother, very caring, and she looks out for her guests going above and beyond for each one of them.
Positive points:
The homestay is 5-10 minutes by bike outside Hoi An. It has a really nice chilling area where you can have breakfast, read a book or chill with others. The breakfast is good as well.
Best of all, the owner is super helpful if you need anything from recommendations to a bus ticket. You can always text her and she responds within 10 minutes. It really feels like you live with the family.
Also bikes are free and there is a local market at the end of the street which is cool to see. In my opinion, it is much nicer to stay a little bit outside of Hoi An. Makes the experience more authentic.

Review:
Host is amazing.
Everything was so peaceful.
Delicious breakfast every day.
This is not “party” hostel, this is place where you wanna survive your hangover after party.
Positive points: Terracotta homestay was a special experience. The host created a very nice atmosphere there and it had a homely feel to it. One of my favourites homestays so far ☺️
Review:
I really enjoyed my short stay. Very clean, good food, cheap beer & a lovely family.
Thanks 💙
Positive points: Ly was an exceptional host- she was generous, funny, caring, attentive & went above and beyond to ensure we had the most enjoyable/stress free experience in Hoi An. The distance from the city centre made it a lovely retreat from the chaos & it was a short distance on a scooter or bicycle. I would visit Hoi An again just to stay at Ly's homestay.
Review: Good place to stay, but way too far from the city. I was in Hoi An when it rained every day so the bike tide to the city and back was a pain every time. At night it's impossible to get a Grab to take you back home. The owner was nice most of the time, but we had a little misunderstanding with booking a tour and she got very upset at me for wanting to book with another agency. She cancelled my original booking and told me to just do whatever I want. The breakfast is very good, good value for money. The cleanliness was ok, even though they emptied the garbage once during my 4-day stay there. Something I really didn't like- everyone in my room had left and I was out all day. When I came back, the owner had moved all my belongings to a different room, without asking me or waiting for me, because she got another booking who requested the room. I think it was very rude to move my stuff without asking or letting me know. Disappointing!
Positive points: She is very helpful. It was very nice staying there. The breackfaste was very good. Thanks for everything :)
Review: Marvelous place to stay in Hoi An. Ly is a great host, she's nice and helpful and speaks very good English. She took over my visa extension, quick and easy. Everything looks spotlessly clean in this place. Its only drawback might be its location, bit far from oldtown, but a cycling distance trough a safe, well illuminated road. I'd strongly recommend Ly's place.
Positive points: I had a wonderful time at this homestay. Ly was great and so kind to me. I would highly recommend it to anyone :)
