Sudamala Resort, Sanur

Positive points: Quiet, natural setting, peaceful, comfortable place. Very nice, very helpful staff/Balinese people. Excellent breakfast and food options, served by very courteous staff. Convenient storage facility for those having flights well after check out time. Beautiful Balinese massage therapy.

Review: Stayed here for 4 nights. Within the first 2 hours of checking into my room, I made 3 complaints. Very, very dark room. You can see moldy dots on curtains, ceilings and walls. The worst part was my king bed had multiple shoe prints on the sheet. On both left and right sides of the bed. Housekeeping would've seen the marks but decided to leave them be. Cleanliness was unacceptable. The luggage stand was moldy, and when I moved the bath robes which were hung on the rack at least 8 mosquitoes flew out. They were all hiding in the robes....nnThe manager did eventually change the room for me which was significantly better. But do expect to see ants and spiders crawl around the bedside tables due to lack of cleanliness. Housekeeping definitely needed extra training as common sense was lacking. This hotel is very beautiful on the outside and has very nice decor and art pieces but upon closer look you will see all the flaws. Read all the google reviews and look deeper into the negative ones. You will see repeating patterns which tells me that this hotel does not care much about improving its services and doesn't take customers reviews and complaints seriously. On my last day, i ordered breakfast room service and was charged double the normal price. I had order the same thing just the day prior and was shocked by the price difference. Always check the bill before signing. This was rectified later but one can't help but think just how incompetent this hotel is??? Also, during this trip in bali, i've stayed in 3 other different hotels and villas. By far, the staff at this hotel were the least friendly and polite. Not all, but that was the overall impression. WILL NOT GO BACK. BOOK AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Positive points: It is a very nice hotel. I liked the rooms and rooms doors. It is well decorated creating a nice Bali ambience. Swimming pool is large and comfortable.

Positive points: It’s very comfortable and really quite luxurious for the reasonable rate. The pool is the perfect temperature and is beautiful to swim in. The staff is exceptional and I felt so welcome. the restaurant was also great. I will definitely return!

Review: We loved it time at Sudamala. The staff were so helpful and caring - the made it stay extra special. The garden room was spacious and well appointed. We're sad to have checked out but think we'll be back! Thank you to all the staff at Sudamala for a special time there.

Positive points: Very cultured, clean. They provide free bike. Near to beach, there is cheap and fast laundry kios in front of hotels which is a plusess. In the morning feels like livin in a village.

Review: My new favourite hotel. And Sanur is much better than it was. Close to the beach but avoids the touristy feel of beachfront properties. Large luxurious rooms. Beautiful grounds. Lovely staff.

Positive points: Sudamala is a gem of a small resort in Sanur. I have stayed here several times and the staff is incredibly friendly!

Review: Beautiful hotel! nA few minutes walk from the beach in an area with lots of places to eat, massage options etc.nAres restaurant for breakfast is a beautiful setting with a good choice of options.nThe Spa is obviously pricier than places outside the hotel but still a lot cheaper for the equivalent in Australia and the setting and attention to detail are great.nnWould be happy to stay here again.n
