Review: Lovely modern boutique with big open doors onto balcony. Sits on main street of An Bang which is not busy. Beach access down beautiful alley way passed 5 * boutique hotels. Beach is powder white sand with fabulous beachfront restaurants. Mr Hoa's restaurant is close by, excellent food, a hidden treasure! Eric is wonderful and tries hard for happy guests 10 points. Review: This was our first trip to Vietnam having been on Team Thailand for the last 10 years.

In Thailand we have always booked resorts but decided on a boutique hotel this time as the An Bang beach resorts didn't seem to have much nearby.

When we arrived, I will admit that we felt a little disappointed (remember, we normally go to resorts). The pool is a decent size with a number of sun loungers and umbrellas.

We booked king delux rooms. The beds are massive and really comfy. We didn't have a private balcony but there were chairs and a table outside our rooms. As there were only 2 rooms along the walkway, it was fine as our kids were in the other one.

Don't be expecting 5* but the rooms are definitely adequate. They have a fridge but no safe. Although we never felt at any time that our belongings would be touched anyway.

Cleaning the rooms could probably be a bit more thorough.

Breakfast is a 8.30am (no alternative times are offered). On our first morning we were given a selection of fresh fruit (watermelon, bananas, pineapple, dragon fruit and mango), bacon, omelette, sausage and a baguette. Loads of food!

We requested a variation for each of us - bacon and fried eggs for 2, bacon and boiled eggs for 1 and just bacon for another. We got exactly what we requested.

The location is amazing. There's a laneway immediately to the left of the hotel. A 200m walk brings you to the most amazing beach (An Bang). You can rent a sunbed for 30vnd ($2) per day or if you buy drinks then they are free.
The hotel also is so close to many supermarkets, spas, restaurants and bars. The area is unbelievably beautiful.

A 20 minute taxi will get you to the hustle and bustle of Hoi An old town and 30mins to DaNang.

This place including the hotel grows on you. It gets right under your skin. We will definitely be returning customers to Cam An and the Shala. It's now our slice of heaven. We can't wait to return.

Review: Rooms are big. We had a good size family room, good for 2 adults and 2 children. Manager moved us from 303 to 401 after first night due to really noisy AC unit from another room. Breakfast is set if you are veggie or vegan, negotiate in advance. Otherwise it was fine . Lots of fruit and and meaty banh mi. Laid back place. Pool is nice. It's more of a guest house than a hotel.

Review: Two nights only, room was great, location is great and pool is ok. Owner is on site most of the time, friendly with me and left me to my own.

Gave me a late check out no problem, which I really appreciated.

Would stay again for sure as lots of good restaurants in the area and the beach, two minute walk away is fabulous!

Review: Location is good, very close to beach. Owner is quite caring and polite. Staff are friendly. Price is reasonable. I will recommend to my friends next time for their short stays.

Review: The manager of this hotel had confirmed an airport pickup and it never arrived. When asked about it, he wasn’t even apologetic he just laughed and said he overslept. Not joking.

The other staff were wonderful, and the room was very nice…great value. However, because of the manager’s negligence I can’t really recommend this property.

Review: If you decide to stay here do not stay in their ground floor room. It smells like a sewer backed up into the bathroom. Booked three nights and had to leave after one night to find other accommodation. The manager, to his credit, refunded two nights but the damage was already done.
