Onion Homestay

Review: Everything was awesome. The entrance to the homestay was tucked in behind the street and on first appearance seemed schetchy but it turned out to be quite safe. Rooms were nice, roomy and clean. The bathrooms were also big, bright and clean. The bed did get a bit hard on the body(stayed 6 nights) but manageable. Breakfast options was a small list but covered a range of food varieties and quite tasty and filling. Passion fruit juice was nice and strong flavor(not watered down as in most places). They also offered excursions/ tours and free bicycles to use around town. Most of the attractions in town are within walking distance and even easier if you use the bikes. I would highly recommend this homestay and will stay again when I plan my next trip to vietnam and hoi an. There's even a great banh mi shop just ten steps to the right of the entrance called phi, ate there for lunch 5 days out of the 6, reasonably priced too

Positive points: Great location, steps away from old town. Cute decor very modern. Breakfast was amazing (try the pancakes). Lovely hosts and family. Perfect for our stay in Hoi An. Would highly recommend!

Review: Entrance is tucked inside a narrow pathway away from the street. Building is clean and so are the rooms. Very impressed compared to the hotel we stayed at in da nang. Even the bathroom was excellent, big and clean. Owners were friendly and spoke English. Breakfast was simple menu but satisfying. I would stay here again on my future trips to hoi an.

Positive points: The location was excellent. A short walk to all the streets of the old town. The couple that own the property were very helpful with our requests - private car from Da Nang airport (300,000 dong ($17CAN), private car to and from My Son (700,000 dong ($40CAN), private car to Da Nang airport with 2 hour stop at Marble Mountain (400,000 dong ($23CAN). It was a nice car too. Breakfast was custom made and they were generous with the amount of food you could order. The sticky rice was superb! We wanted a car at 7am to beat the crowds at My Son so they made warm Banh Mi sandwiches for us that day. Just very friendly and helpful with any touristy needs. And they helped us change cash at a good rate since we wanted to pay our room with cash rather than credit card.

Review: We spent 5 nights in this place and we were vey happy about it. Extremely clean, very good breakfast,our room was made up every day with nice amenities. The owners helped us with everything , motorbike rental, cooking class, bus tickets. They also have free bikes for the day to visit the town.

Positive points: We loved our stay here. The hosts are so so kind and accommodating, they went the extra mile to help up and arrange tours/ tickets and we paid on check out. The location is great, 10 minute walk to the old city. We slept so well here, the best in our whole trip to Vietnam so far. The value for money is exceptional.

Breakfast was delicious and a nice selection to choose from (you pre arrange the choice and time you want breakfast the day before)
