Positive points: Nice place where stay. 20 minutes to walk to the centre, quite enough to rest well. The room is big and the staff is so friendly. You can rent bike there. Good choice.
Positive points: Great spot for a night before or after the Ha Giang loop, the owner is friendly and helpful. Shower is hot and the bed comfy. The facilities are basic but you should expect that for the price! Breakfast was a nice addition as well!
Negative points: The neighbours rooster was pretty loud even wearing earplugs - not the fault of the guesthouse though. Room was a bit dusty, could have done with a freshen up

... it's really annoying that the bike wash/ "mechanic" guy tells me the front brake pads on my own bike need replacing. This was also confirmed by his boss, the hotel owner. Both are wrong. They're still on half life.
Their motivation was to try to sell me new brake pads. I called their bluff and asked them to fit my spare, also half worn brake pads. Boss man said they had to be new... 😂
Not every person who visits his establishment is a know nothing about motorcycles!
Also when the guy is washing his rental bikes, he should endeavour to not make my bike next to them dirtier than it already is.
Positive points: We rented our motorcycle here from Tang. He was very helpful. The bike was great.
Review: Good for money. Bathroom could be cleaner. Good place to rent a bike for the Ha Giang Loop.
Positive points: We got there at 2am and the owner was so nice to wait and open the door for us. Reasonably price for a good place to sleep for the night.
Review: We went with very little expectations and were blown away with how kind and helpful they all were. On arrival without even asking they ran us through the route for the loop, telling us all the best locations and places to stay, telling us which roads to avoid. And on our return they allowed us to shower before we caught our coach. Motorbike rental was great, brand new bikes, in great condition, and ge will even give you a lesson if you are nervous or a little rusty. Would 100% recommend to those who want to do the loop.
Positive points: The price and the quality in overall is great for the homestay. The owner and his family rent different motorbikes with good prices and are very kind. The bikes are in really good conditions.

Positive points: Ngan Ha homestay is the perfect place to start the Ha Giang loop by yourself: rooms are essential but comfortable and the bikes are in very good condition. The owner can give really good advice both on the bikes and on the loop. Totally recommended!
Review: This is my first review ever but I have to write it. One think about homestay is the place but only people makes a homestay true homestay. Buidinh and his mom were amazing hosts - not only they helped us with everything we needed (pharmacy, money exchange, street food, etc.), they taught us Vietnamese language and answered all the questions we were curious about Vietnam and mentality of the local people + their history (wars). Google translator helped :-) In the evening they prepared true Vietnamese coffee for us and invited us for the typical fruit (dragon fruit) - the type you always see at the market but you don't know how to choose and buy the right one :-) Very nice and warmhearted people I definately recommend to visit. Amazing family. Booked here cuz the reviews were talking about these people's kindness and it's 100% confirmed. The owner is very nice and helpful.
My room was spacious, clean and quiet, despite facing the road. The bed very comfy and not too hard.
The shared bathroom was always clean (very unusual in Vietnam 😂).
Very good wifi.
Location also is perfect.
Booked for 1night, ended up spending 4.
Negative points: It says room with balcony, but note the balcony is actually the corridor that leads to the rooms.
