Review: Very nice place that make you really live the Mekomg experience! Very nice family.

Positive points: People there are nice and they have simple breakfast provided. There are comfortable seats to rest by the river.

Review: The photos are deceiving. It looks like a nice quiet idylic homestay but was not ! There was an old man, perhaps the father of the host, who was watching loud TV all the time in the recreational part of the homestay which totally spoilt the ambience of the place. He urinated about 5 metres from us and although his back was to us it was perfectly obvious what he was doing! That might be ok if there are only male guests there but there were 4 female guests there too. Also, he spat a few times into the water that had risen from the river which WE had to wade through to get to our rooms. We were also not earned when booking that the water rises substantially during the afternoon so it was a shock to have to wade through murky water, not knowing what was in it and also it was quite dangerous as it was so easy to slip as the ground was quite uneven but you could not see that due to the water being murky. The accommodation is overpriced for what you get. The older lady that was 'serving' us was super grumpy and unhelpful and made no attempt to be accommodating, also agrily shooing me away from the kitchen area when all I wanted to do was ask for a cup of coffee. I got the feeling they did not want the guests anywhere near the kitchen - I wonder why? The owner, the only one that could speak English was quite pleasant and should be micro-managing the older lady (ladies) and man in order to ensure a pleasant - and safe stay!

Positive points: -good value for seeing a unique side of the area. -nice clean room with fan, fast wifi, and hot water for good value given the location -breakfast included! -can help organize boat tour of area, getting bicycle, etc.

Review: Very rustic. Totally waterlogged from the Mekong river that you have to wade through water to get to the establishment. Slippery. No lighting at night to get to your room and dangerous as slippery. Old father who lives there kept clearing his throat in a disgusting manner and spitting into the river. He even urinated in full view into the river. Food not great Older employers had an attitude in the morning. TV on blaring. Bed very hard. Were meant to stay two days but left after one. Strange it got such great reviews. Found a far better place and here, Yes, the Mekong still comes up but at least they have gravel to walk on and have buildt cleverly.

Positive points: My stay in this place was very lovely, the family is very friendly, they sell really good food at an affordable price. And you can rent a bike, motorcycle or take tours as well, I suggest the one through the canals. Is a good place to rest or chill in front of the river. The atmosphere that is created is good to meet people as well.

Review: This is heaven on earth! The whole homestay area is like from a fairytale, so beautiful, the family is kind and their food is amazing! They also offer great activities like discovering the area on a boat and seeing all kind of interesting things like how is chocolate or coconut products made, you have opportunity to really dive deeper into local life here. It it is very peacefull here. Nature is beautiful. Warm water. AMAZING AIR CONDITIONING! 200 percent recommend. Thank you!

Review: I had the best time here. The staff was so friendly and welcoming, I felt at home. I couldn't recommend it more. They also have good food options. If you're looking for a peaceful and relaxing place, this is it :)

Positive points: The staff were so kind! I did the mekong boat tour with the daughter as our guide and it was great! She talked to us about the culture and life in the mekong. The food at the homestay was delicious. Two nights was the perfect amount of time for me to stay there. She helped me book a bus to my next destination as well. They offer bike rentals to bike around the islands. There are many cats living at the homestay too.

Review: Homes nằm trên cù lao Ốc, phà chạy thường xuyên qua lại đến 18h sau đó thì 30p một chuyến đến 21h, từ 21h có thể bao chuyến với giá 150k. Phòng sạch và cũng bình thường như các home khác nhưng ra khỏi phòng thì gió mát suốt ngày do home có mặt tiền ngắm cảnh sông lý tưởng. Nếu dậy sớm có thể chụp hình bình minh rất đẹp vì nhìn ra hướng chính Đông. Thức ăn ngon nữa và cả nhà đều rất vui vẻ nhiệt tình. Đến đây điều nhận được nhiều hơn là một chỗ ở. Sẽ quay lại.

Positive points: AMAZING family stay, we extended for 5 days from the original 2. The food is absolutely delicious, nice breakfasts, they have bike rentals and you can organize your Mekong Delta trip with them too. The family is lovely, and the daughter speaks good English. The island that hostel is on is gorgeous, calm and full of flowers, you can rent a hike and take a ride around it and the neighboring island too. Rooms are very spacious, nice bathroom, there are terraces with riverview where you can read and do yoga. Great value for the money!

Review: This home stay Is a must if you are travelling the Mekong delta. Everything about this home stay is wonderful, the family is very welcoming and friendly, and the food is amazing. The island itself is quite small and quiet which makes it nice to just relax at the honestly and bicycle around the island.

Positive points: A great opportunity to see life outside of the big and touristy areas of Vietnam. The food was great and the host family very friendly and helpful. Thuy is the main point of contact and she speaks excellent English. Accommodations are basic but certainly authentic for the Mekong Delta region. The home stay is right on the water on an island with plenty of opportunities for bird watching and boat rides if you are so inclined.

Review: Giving a star score is difficult when judging a real home stay. OK, it was rustic but didn’t we sign up for something authentic? We got what we were looking for but along with that we got a warm family taking care of us like family, a friendly community that accepted us, children whose favorite thing was practicing shouting “hello!”. All and more is what we got and our experience was exceptional. We got a chance to escape the noisy, heat of Saigon with only a 2.5 hour bus ride - easy peasy with Ms. Thuy’s help! The fresh breezes off the river were great and it might be just the time of year we went (end of March) but no bugs! We agree with all the positives stated by others (good food, English spoken by adult daughter, but honestly the Vietnamese speaking mother is so warm she somehow communicates with no need for a common language). We’d recommend staying here if you want an authentic stay because there are other more upscale places but this was what we wanted and it was a 5-star experience.

Positive points: The best homestay I have been to. Thank you so much for having me. The family are so lovely and welcoming, and it is a perfect spot to sit by the river, relax, see how the local people live. I definitely recommend doing the boat tour. And mum makes amazing food, thank you!

Review: I really had a 5 star stay here! After the bustling cities and touristy area I’ve been in the last couple weeks, coming to this homestay was very refreshing. You surrounded by palm trees along the river and in the local culture. I loved my wooden cabin, built on stilts over a small canal! However, this is not a 5 star hotel resort if that is what you are looking for. Though I believe there are some rooms that are tiled with air conditioning, I could see the water underneath the cabin in between my floor boards and the shower water drains directly out a hole in the floor. Also, there are a lot of noisy roosters and dogs that don’t seem to ever sleep if you are a light sleeper

Review: ) There is a mosquito net over the bed so I had no problems with bugs and the shower is surprisingly nice, with hot water and all! The common areas are so beautiful, built along the river and the food is great! They also have bikes and scooters to rent right at the homestay as well as some activities and tours available which they lead themselves. They are super nice and always ready to make your stay a good one. I think every guest I met while there ended up extending their stay, including me!
