Marina Bay Con Dao Hotel

Review: had a deeply disappointing experience at this hotel. The staff were unprofessional, rude, and seemed to lack basic customer service skills. Instead of resolving issues amicably, they had the audacity to challenge me to leave a bad review — a truly baffling approach to guest relations.

The tipping point? They charged me for a missing teaspoon without even notifying me beforehand or providing evidence. A spoon. Something I wasn’t even aware was missing until I saw the charge.

This ridiculous incident, combined with the poor attitude of the staff, has ensured they’ve lost a customer permanently. Charging a guest for something so trivial without proper communication is unacceptable.

Avoid this place if you value professionalism and respect.

Review: At first I was a little skeptical about the hotel due to the rating at booking.com. However, reading through reviews here made me decide to stay. And turned out to be a perfect decision. The hotel was amazing, large and clean room, pickup dropoff free, staff super friendly, they let us check in early too. The swimming pool and gym at 7th floor is nice, great view of the sea. Definitely stay here for next trip!!!!!

Positive points: The breakfast could maybe a bit more western orientated. For example, there could possibly be western coffee and tea. Also unless you went down early for breakfast, the coffee was cold each day by 8.30am

Review: one of the pricest hotel in condao. we paid for airport transfer,but there was no communication at all. food in Cafe need about 1 hour to prepare, even tho there are only 2 tables at the point of time. door have no sound proof, water pressure was low. hot water not constant.

Review: The staff were friendly and helpful, but seem generally overworked, mostly because we observed some very demanding guests over the weekend while we stayed at the hotel. Because of the nature of the guests coming from a certain part of Vietnam that tend to be a lot louder and a lot less civilized with service people, I could empathize a lot with the staff. Given the many challenges that the staff must face from many of the guests that we observed, I would say that the staff are stellar.

To be very frank, everything about the hotel was either great or acceptable and it was the behavior and loudness of other guests that made our stay in any way unpleasant.

The rooms are spacious enough and generally clean, but we had a half used bottle of lotion in the bathroom at check-in and one of the bottles of water was already opened. Because of the hard water on the island, the showerhead spray was a little bit erratic. Other than that, the beds are comfortable, the room is VERY well lit and has good lighting which is hard to find in most mid-tier hotels in Vietnam.

The breakfast options are more traditional Vietnamese than western, but most of the food was rather nice for a hotel breakfast. There is a public beach and the passenger ferry port are very close by. As Northern people have not focused on the island as a beach holiday destination yet, they have not ruined the natural environment with rubbish and litter as they have on Phu Quoc and other beach resorts on the Vietnamese mainland.

The hotel has a small outdoor pool but the platform and stairs up to it are very slippery, so they should take better measures to make it safer.

The location of the hotel is the biggest draw. It is close to the beach and rather central on the island on the western edge of the town if you are keen to explore the north and west coast of the island or if you are interested in all of the museums and historical sights in town.

Review: Nobody speak english There except the hotel manger, room service didnt work well, after two hours they call me they didnt have spring rolls. ( its ok but but you could call me after few minutes not after two hours, when is everything on island close) And power outage 5 times per day its really annoyng.
