LA VELA SAIGON HOTEL

Review: Our room was on the 21st floor with just the perfect view of the bustling city. The amenities are splendid. The breakfast was made for the gods. The restaurants were fabulous, and the pool is just as advertised. Had an amazing stay and the staff was super friendly. Will definitely visit again.

Positive points: Hotel amazing. Beautiful, roomy and well worth the price.

Review: room was great n spacious, firm mattress, sleep inducing pillows. curtains available if need privacy between bath and bedroom area. only odd thing is there's no bath or toilet light switches at the bathroom itself. gym is very well equipped, I think almost all machines available except for a squat rack my only wish is it would open earlier than 6am. rooftop pool has a fantastic view of the city n breakfast buffet spread was decent. a family mart convenience store is located nearby if anything required.

Positive points: We had a corner suite which was well appointed and had great views across the city and the Saigon river.
The bathroom was spacious abs had a lovely bathtub.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and even arranged an extra hour in the room before check out at no extra cost.
The rooftop pool is fantastic.

Review: Jin Ah is the best customer service and I love everything in here. Love their services, quality of the food and everything, especially the staffs. I recommend this hotel is the best view and best services as well.

Positive points: It’s the best 5* hotel you can ever get in town. Everything was perfect. Ok the hotel needs some little maintenance works in some area such as the pool but it’s really not much. Also, I don’t know what people are talking about the elevator ? I never waited longer dans 1,5 min to be honest and I was staying at the 16th floor. Anyway I really enjoy my stay at this hotel, and everything about it, really ! Highly recommended for the price and the services given !! A real 5*. Cam on La Vela :)

Review: This is definitely not a 5 star hotel, having travelled Asia for many years and staying at 5 star hotels this is by no means one of them.

Room:
1. Very tiny rooms for Asian standards
2. Mould on bathroom sink
3. Shower was really good with good water pressure and no clogging of water which was amazing
4. Would love a little shelf in the shower so you could use your own toiletries
5. Comfy bed and pillows
6. Free water in the room (except the water in the bar fridge)

Breakfast:
1. Great selection of Asian, continental and American breakfast options
2. Juices are extremely warm
3. They have a hard stop at 10:00 so make sure you arrive on time
4. Staff are attentive and super helpful

Pool and Bar:
1. Very friendly and helpful staff
2. It’s a struggle to get a pool lounger as there really isn’t a lot of space for loungers up there. You need to get there really early to secure a spot or just sit on the concrete area in the middle of the pool
3. The pool needs some love and attention, lots of missing tiles and dirtiness around some areas
4. It was strange that drinks were served in glass cups, and lots of people were drinking in the pool. This is a major safety hazard, plastic should be used.
5. Prices of food and drinks are relative to major hotels and restaurants in the area

Lobby and general comments:
1. Lobby staff are super friendly and helpful, there is always someone to open and close the big entrance doors for you
2. Lobby needs some love and attention, it looks older and outdated
3. In the room levels, the carpets are really outdated, the hotel in itself looks like it’s needs some love and care
4. Stair area leading to the pool looks really shabby, this needs some to renovations

Positive points: Good location, high level services, very kind and helpful staff, large and well equipped comfy room, huge buffet breakfast selection, large infinity pool

Review: Hotel is great and very close to district 1. Downside is that the elevators are very slow, pool is always packed and it’s a very busy hotel.

Positive points: Pictures on the website are amazing! Would be amazing if it reality looked the same.

Review: My experience at Le Vela Saigon Hotel was disappointing from start to finish. Upon check-in, the staff failed to offer a welcome drink or properly check me in, which was already a bad first impression.

Throughout my entire stay, there was nonstop construction happening—day and night—including right above and in front of my room. This made it impossible to get the rest I needed. Hotels should not be doing major renovations while guests are staying, and at the very least, they should inform guests before booking and offer accommodations in quieter areas. When I called the front desk multiple times to address the issue, nothing was done. Frustrated, I ended up leaving to stay at another hotel.

During checkout, I brought up my concerns to the manager, but instead of offering a refund or any real compensation, she handed me a bag of cookies and chased after my taxi, asking me to book with them again. Why would I return after such poor service and lack of accountability?

The only decent part of the hotel was the pool, but even that was in decline, with not enough beach chairs for guests. Overall, I do not recommend this hotel. There are far better options in Saigon for the same price or less.

Positive points: The infinity pool is the best we have ever experienced.
The room was big, the bed was comfy and the aircon quite silent.
