Positive points: It was the best place I stayed in Vietnam. If you’re looking for cozy, family, immersed in the jungle vibe THIS is THE place you wanna stay. Amy, bap and yu were the best host
Positive points: they were so welcoming and I really felt like a part of their family for a week. I discovered so many things and the boat tour they offer is must !! You’ll learn a lot about the nature and wildlife there !! I recommend 200%.
Review: This was without a doubt one of the most special stays we’ve had so far during our trip in South East Asia. Rarely have we met such a sincere, genuine, and warm family as Mi and Hue’s. From the moment we arrived until we said goodbye, everything was so warm. They show a genuine interest in every traveler who arrives
Review: everyone is welcomed and treated with the same warmth and energy. Amy has an energy that seems inexhaustible. We have so much admiration for her and her family, and it is an honor to have been able to be part of their warm family, even for just a short while. A place that will stay with us for a long time.
Positive points: Lots of plants! Super cute and cozy! The host family and staff are all so kind and fun! The rooms are cute and cozy, the bathrooms and showers are nice. The family meals and food are a highlight for sure! The boat tour they offer was the best experience I’ve had in all of Vietnam (4 weeks north - south) The surrounding area is beautiful! And they have free bicycles that you can explore the area on! They took care of me and my cousin at every moment! And the coconuts! Coconut water, coconut candy, grilled coconut etc! So yummy. This homestay will hold a special place in my heart for a long time. I will be back sometime in the future :)
Negative points: Nothing
Review: Warning: this place is seriously dangerous for your trip… you might never want to leave. The hosts are incredibly kind, the food is outstanding, and the region is absolutely beautiful — nothing but positives. I 200% recommend it.
Positive points: Everything is amazing! I’ve been traveling around many countries and this is one of the best places if you want to have a local experience and get to know the culture! Thank you for opening your home to us and let us be part of your culture! The place is very clean, very organized! And everyone is extremely friendly and warm! Also they cooked us all local stuffs. So good (Do yourself a favor and do the boat activity) Such an experience! Thank you!
Negative points: Nothing I can think of
Review: The couple that run it are the best people ever. Family meal every night, genuinely the best food I’ve had in Vietnam and otherwise. They also do a breakfast and lunch and I think breakfast was free (don’t quote me on that it was 2 weeks ago). Free bicycles to use. It’s a homestay so it’s just a really nice vibe. About 50/50 on couples to solo travellers. I think whatever type of traveller you are, you need to come here. Everyone was sad whenever they had to leave and I haven’t had that much of a connection to a hostel / homestay itself in my life. Do the boat tour. Don't question it just do the boat tour it’s incredible. Seriously. And finally thank you for having me here it truly was a pleasure.
Positive points: Really well run and welcoming
Review: Awesome experience. Definitely recommend spending a few days here and enjoying the boat tour
Positive points: incredible experience! loved the vibes of this place and amy’s tour. really enjoyed exploring the area with the bikes that you’re free to use (: really good food and nice to share family style with the other guests. the sounds of nature are top notch here
Review: One of the highlights of my trip in Vietnam! You MUST do the Mekong Tour with Amy and her family! Everyone is so so wonderful, the food is amazing, and the surrounding nature is so relaxing 🫶
Positive points: My favorite Homestay in Vietnam.. So many cool people to meet & the family is so kind and welcoming.. The food was by far the best part.. so amazing. I recommend doing the boat tour
Negative points: It can get quite hot at night, but there are fans which help with this. The property is very much in nature, which is lovely, but some people may not like having to go outside at night for the bathrooms, etc. I found this all amazing as it was a very unique experience!
Review: If you're looking for an adventure, this is the place
Positive points: Such an authentic experience. Amy and Hieu’s family is so lovely, and they take care of each detail. Eating together every night was so nice, it’s very conducive to socializing with other guests who all ended up being lovely as well. Overall, amazing stay! A big highlight was the Mekong Adventure boat tour.
Review: A bit out of the way but absolutely worth it to go to experience the area, the amazing boat tour, and being in the middle of the Mekong Delta. Hieu and Amy were exceptionally hospitable. Had no issues with transportation following the instructions on their website, and coordinated with Hieu via WhatsApp for the final motorbike ride. The boat tour was unique, lots of fun, and great insight into the culture. Wish I had more time to explore the area or relax at the homestay, and would definitely recommend this to others.
Positive points: Warm welcome, great hosts, great food and activities. No one should miss the family dinner - is different every day and delicious. Great activities, chilled atmosphere and a good vibe that makes you want to stay longer.
Review: A must for anyone wanting an authentic experience of life in the Mekong. The highlight of our trip in Vietnam.
Positive points: I had the best time in Ecoco homestay! Mr Hieuw and Amy were super friendly and welcoming, attended to our every need. The place was beautiful, a really nice self built homestay, and the activities they offer give you a great insight to daily life in the Mekong delta. It was really fun and will definitely be back for more!
Negative points: Nothing, it was great
