Woo Guesthouse Insadong

Đánh giá: Perfect location for visiting the palaces, craft and modern art museums. Lots of places for coffee or food. Close to the metro, so easy to get around aseoul. The room I stayed overlooked the palace.

Đánh giá: Booked the traditional room for 2 nights nThe futon was too thin . I could feel the hard floor and had a hard time sleeping . Also the futon wasn’t that clean I saw a small yellow stain on it .nIt has a private shower but the toilet bowl is a floor below which is very inconvenient if you wan to use the toilet in the middle of the night. Then we found the toilet below suddenly locked by someone and we couldn’t use in the morning . Had to find toilet outside nGood thing that they allow us to change our room to a normal bed so at least the second night was better for me . But my husband didn’t have a good sleep as he said the middle was crashing in and affected his sleep. I could feel the springs through the bed but it was still better than the traditional futon for me nLocation is very near palaces and walkable to Insadong. I appreciate the help to change room but I wouldn’t go backn

Đánh giá: This was my second time visiting Korea Insadong. I think this place more comfortable than my previous stay at hanok house in Insadong. Why? Because woo guesthouse located in a very strategic location and very convenient for you to get to public transportation. And walking distance to all of attractions in Insadong. My room view was Gyeongbokgung Palace with lovely trees colours of Autumn ! The only weakness of this guesthouse there were no lift to go up. It is located at level 3 in a building. I was with medium luggage but it just a small matter to me. The kitchen and all the facilities provided by this guesthouse was good enough to me. The owner and staff of woo guesthouse was very friendly and very helpful too. They spoke English very well. I asked them to wait for us at 12am on my arrival day. And yes they did without asking for extra charges. The guy who were waited for us came down to help us carry the luggages. My friend’s room was upgraded by woo guesthouse. Thanks so much we appreciate that. During my check out day, I was late to go to airport and we were so thankful the effort given by the staff of woo guesthouse who was helping us to get the taxi to the airport. and last thing, i was so happy because at the downstairs and left side of the building have one shop for hanbok rental with many amazing choices of hanbok. Easy for me which I don’t need to take so much time to find and rent the hanbok. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.

Đánh giá: The room sink has been a problem, soap bar broken also. I don't understand why didn't they fix the problem earlier? korean style room has no window and so small room. but well-located.

Đánh giá: Location was perfect to see the main sites. Very easy to walk to both palaces and other sites. nRoom was very comfortable and clean. For a comfy room for a short stay i would defiantly recommend. nnDownsides: After I was shown my room i did not see any staff for my entire stay even when I left. Main door was often open which was a little disconcerting. n

Đánh giá: If you want to be among the first to enter Gyeongbokgung in the morning, then this is the place for you to stay as the guesthouse is just right next to it. The guesthouse does have rooftop access and the panoramic view up there overlooking Gyeongbokgung, Cheongwadae (Blue House) and Bugaksan (Mount Bugak) is amazing. Bukchon Hanok Village is just a stone's throw away and a convenience store (GS) is about 5 minutes walking distance but you'll have to cross the busy main road which passes Gwanghwamun. The nearest subway station is Anguk of Line 3, and it's about 7~10 minutes walking distance.nnThe disappointing thing about this guesthouse was that the reception was not manned at all. Even the contact number printed on the reservation copy was temporarily suspended. I had to call Agoda customer service for help and they managed to contact the owner, which apparently is on the rooftop doing the laundry. Furthermore, it is located 3 floors above ground with no elevator! Good luck if you have a heavy luggage. There is however an intercom on the ground floor which you can page them to come down to help you carry up your luggage but with the absence of someone at the reception, expect to do it yourself.nnBut once you've checked-in, the keys to your room and the main door lock sensor are given to you so you can go out and come back in anytime as you wish. Oh and the owner, Mr Woo does speak English.

Đánh giá: Perfect location it's across Gyeongbokgung palace. We booked for a traditional ondol room but we were upgraded to a superior room overlooking the palace. Clean and spacious room and bathroom. Owner was very kind and accomodating. Near the palaces and Bukchon Hanok village. Definitely a great place to stay.
