9.2 Outstanding staff incredible beach front location - Ryoko 06-05-2023

Đánh giá: We stayed 3nights and it was just a little paradise and amazing to have breakfast in front of beach, chilling at their beach restaurant. nAs mentioned in other comments, what makes difference in this hotel is the outstanding staff. They are so nice and that adds honestly many charms in this hotel. Breakfast was also nice served with fresh fruits and coffee also good. nMaybe if the bar foods were better, we stayed whole day in the hotel and never went out ) I just want appreciate all the staffs who welcomed us and made our stay just unforgettable.

Điểm trừ: the staff... really annoying and not capable of working.. took always at least 30mins to get the breakfast also If there were no other guests, what wasn't even good, they are always talking to you also if the see you are reading or working in terrace, they interrupt...

Điểm trừ: Disappointing, very disappointing. We had a deluxe bungalow but was no better than a tourism standard bungalow except for air conditioning. Badly needs renovating, the management does not care about fixing anything. There are obvious long term issues that they don't care about fixing even when making them aware. It's the same old same old. Apathy on a continuous scale. We were there for four nights and they didn't even clean our room, change towels or empty bins. Yes they probably would have if asked but why should you ? After all it is a deluxe bungalow. Shame because its in a prime location. Only stay here if you are on a tight budget or have low expectations. I would not stay here again or recommend. I hope the manager / owner reads this.

1.0 WORST BOOKING.COM EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE ! RUN FROM IT ! - shiraz 17-07-2024

Điểm trừ: Since the moment we arrived at this “hotel”, it was a huge scam. We booked a deluxe room (the most expensive one) and got a standard one. We immediately complained about it and they would not change our room. We saw other rooms that were much better but they were full. I immediately contacted booking customer service to say that I wanted to leave and inform of the scam. Since all other hotels were full, we couldn’t leave immediately and also because booking was going to charge me the full amount. The room we got was FULL OF COCKROACHES, they were literally pouring out of the bathroom sink!!! We could not use the bathroom as roaches were coming out of the sink by dozens. An employee had to come in the room and kill them. We had to sleep with a bug killer spray for three nights !nThe pictures were probably taken 10 years ago, now there are no more plants or trees, the bungalows were not maintained, everything looks 10 years old with no maintenance. There is no beach and no view. The bungalows face a wall. It’s just a terrible place overall.nOn the last day I demanded to talk to the owner to complain about this horrible stay. The owner yelled, insulted and threatened my mother and myself because I said I would leave a terrible review and refused to pay the full amount in cash. So much so that we had to call the local police. We were terrified. The police came and told him he was wrong but advised us to pay cash as it is customary on the island. So we did and left. The owner of this place is extremely dangerous. He is a scammer. I am outraged that a property like this one is on booking. I have been using booking for years and NEVER had such a horrible experience. This was the worst experience of my life. And I was with my mother !! Not only were we forced to pay full amount in cash even though we didn’t get the room we booked but we also got insulted and threatened. I cried for hours after that trying to get over it !!

Điểm cộng: i’ve been to gili air several times over the last eight years and i always stay at star bar! it’s like my home away from home. excellent location, friendly staff and comfy bungalows are all i need. can’t wait to be back!

9.2 Great Budget Option - Martyn 04-01-2019

Đánh giá: Individual bungalows are set slightly back from the beach meaning they are nice and quiet. The rooms are big enough with ensuite bathroom with hot water. You can ask them to clean the room when you want which was good. The highlight was the pool which has both a shallow and deep end and can overlook the sea. The staff are really really friendly but not intrusive and are a wealth of local information. The bar does good enough food and the location means you can walk anywhere. It's about a 20 minute walk from the harbour or a cart ride if you have big bags.

Điểm cộng: Great value for the location, it’s right by the beach, good swimming spot, about a 3 minute walk from the most popular snorkeling spot (where you can see the turtles). You can have breakfast by the beach (breakfast was basic but good). You can rollnout of bed and walk outside and see the most beautiful sunrise by the beach (located in the sunrise side of the island). Bungalow had a hammock in the front. Staff was nice.

Điểm trừ: Bed and pillows were extremely uncomfortable/hard, even more uncomfortable than most beds I’ve had in Indonesia. AC doesn’t really cool the room (room wasn’t hot, but it was not great, it was pretty warm at night).

Điểm cộng: Great facility located less than 100 meters away fom the beach. Staff was super friendly and helpful, they arranged bicycles, scuba trips and restaurants for us. Di, the staff member in charge when we arrived, was an awesome guy....make sure to grab a beer with him an learn about Lombok and the Sasak culture! Rooms where nice, A/C a must and everything was very clean.

6.0 Good place to stay - Syerafina 24-09-2016

Đánh giá: Gili Air is a traditional island (no motor vehicles allowed) so everything is low-key. Be prepared to see/hear geckos around while you swing yourself in the hammock. Wifi might not be strong in the room, but it's good in the café which is right next to the shoreline. Snorkeling is a must since the turtles like the area. Expect a laid back kind of entertainment and you'll be coming back..

Điểm cộng: Staff was super nice. They could arrange a boat for snorkels and rent out bicycles. The resturant was good as well Good happy hour and fresh catch fishes to the grill every evening.

Điểm trừ: The bungalow we stay had very poor wifi, and therefore we could not use it much.

5.3 Disappointing stay - Pascal 30-07-2015

Đánh giá: Fir that high price for a bungalow i expect i little bit more than we got. The bungalows are only 5 years old but may look like 20. Somebody should take a bit more care about it ( owner maybe) the food is not fresh at all and was really disappointing. I would look for another stay even the staff was really friendly and helpful.

Điểm trừ: Although the food was excellent, the restaurant area was never cleaned very well in over 3 weeks I observed beyond light sweeping. Understandably with the Covid shutdown areas of deferred maintenance, but still a good value.
