6.0 Beautiful place but very loud mosque nearby - Linda 05-02-2025

Positive points: Beautiful garden and the cute studio was nicely decorated. drinking water in the room, bathroom was bright, incense was burning when arriving. The lady cooked lovely food.

Negative points: The bed was a bit damp, but probably unavoidable during rainy season. nnThe sound of the nearby mosques was very loud at this otherwise lovely place. nA mosque and kindergarten are nearby: this resulted in the morning for hours very loud singing through the speakers. It started not too early at 4.50 am but continued for hours. n(more than in other places we visited in Lombok). nnWe couldn’t enjoy the beautiful surroundings because of this and decided to leave after 1 night although we booked two nights. nOther people might not have an issue with this, we are a middle aged couple and hoped for some quiet time.

Positive points: The accommodation is really peaceful as it is deep in the village. The hosts are really kind and even invited me to break our fasts together with their family. The room is really spacious and comfortable. All in all, I really loved staying here :)

Positive points: This property has a very lovely garden with some animals. It's very peaceful, a good place to rest. We loved the cottages as they are a fusion of Indonesian and Dutch styles. Very comfortable and equipped with everything you might need. We did a cooking class with locals and it was amazing, we learned so much and gained an insight into the way they live.

Negative points: In the morning the sounds from the mosque wake you up around 4 or 5 but we didn’t mind it. It’s a good way to immerse yourself in their culture.

Positive points: - amazing beautifully garden in the middle of rice fieldsn- nice and friendly staff always availablen- well decorated room and gardenn- very nice tour with good guide to visit waterfall monkey forest and rice terrace

Negative points: - unconfortable bed and bed sheetsn- dark room, we had to put the lights on even daily (others room may be much better)n- could provide earplugs because it was very very noisy due to the hotel location many mosques and school around doing a lot of noise at night and morning. We have been in java and many other muslim indonesian places but this one was very noisy

Positive points: We had a great time here. You feel like youre part of the community. Beautiful view and amazing facilities.nnI dont understand that people are complaining about the sound of mosques. It is a Muslim country where they pray at set times. That is like complaining about the sand when going to the beach...

10.0 Wonderful staff made it one of our best experiences in Lombok. - Chaitra 09-05-2024

Positive points: Right from our arrival, the wonderful staff of this place made it feel like a second home. Tuan the chef, Jose our guide and Agung the owner were all so kind, sweet and funny to be around. They took care of us so well that we felt sad to leave once our trip was done! The room was stylishly decorated and very clean. Excellent bathroom as well. Food was exceptional and the attention to detail is impeccable! Please try the local rice wine, it's delicious! Highly recommend the day trip to the fields, forest and waterfalls. It was really something. On our last day there, there was a traditional Sasak wedding happening in the village and Jose was kind enough to suggest that he drive us out to watch it happen! And what an authentic experience that was! We felt lucky to have witnessed it. All the locals in the area are also super friendly and that made our stay truly wonderful. Thank you Santai House!nnPlease note - Tetebatu has several mosques and you can hear the call for.prayer. But we got used to it and this would be the case wherever you stay in this area. Bring earplugs and you should be fine.

Negative points: The access road was a bit hard for our car to drive on. However the staff were very helpful and helped us bring our luggage on the last leg. The road is slated to be fixed soon by the government though, so hopefully that happens soon..

Positive points: I love my stay here. rnThe rooms is very spacious and it was super clean. rnThe little terrace in front with the hammock was a big plus, the view was so pretty.rnFrom the accommodation is was easy to drive to the beautiful ricefields and see some waterfalls.rnHosts were super friendly and were able to help with everything. Pancakes in the morning were the perfect way to start the day. Really hope to be back someday and stay a bit longer. rnThank you for everything :)
