Review: We stayed in the private room for one night before the Ha Giang Loop. Bed was comfortable and the heater worked well. We did notice some hair in the bed that wasn't ours, may be some issues with cleanliness. Also had a dog barking for hours in the middle of the night which kept us up (may be better soundproofed in the hotel but our bungalow was out front and seperate). Staff were friendly and helpful.
Positive points:
I used Lila Inn for accomodation before and after the Ha Giang loop, for bus booking to and from Ha Giang and as tour organiser for the 3 day loop.
Everything was absolutely perfect. Best Easy riders I have used in Vietnam - I felt so safe the whole time and they did everything to make the tour good. And the Home stays they used during the loop were amazing as was the food.
I want to come back and do this again with Lila Inn & Tours
Review: The owner Liam is amazingly friendly and helpful. He is in the process of moving and very busy but he still found time to help us with our million questions about the Ha Giang tour. My husband and I are doing the self guided Ha Giang tour and Liam sat down with us, gave us a map and showed and explained the tour and what attractions to see and where to stay. During the tour, we called him for some questions and he willingly answered them and helped us. I highly recommend Lila Inn. Very impressed with the service.
Positive points: My partner and I arrived with the intention to do the loop around. After speaking with the staff they convinced us to get easy riders due to police check points. We are so happy we did. I have done the loop myself previously but with our drivers Tuyen and Leo, we had an amazing and relaxing journey. We booked our own accommodation along the loop and they stayed at different homestays, coming each morning to pick us up, and always being patient each morning that we pushed back our stating time. I would highly recommend them. I also very much like that the LiLa Inn had caged lockers for us to put a lock on our bags while we did the loop, giving us peace of mind for our belongings. Thanks for everything :D
Negative points: On the first floor in the private room, the neighbors start a loud thumping noise early in the morning, this of course, isn't the Lila Inn's fault, but if you're a late sleeper, maybe get a higher room or dorm :)
Review: Nice cheap stay. The owner/ manager was super nice.
Positive points:
We stayed in a private room in Lila Inn before doing the 3-day Loop tour with them. It was incredible! Lila Inn is a fantastic company and you can tell they put exceptional effort into hiring very safe, kind and professional drivers and choosing a beautiful route with some stops off the beaten track. Our tour had only six guests, so we got to know each other and our drivers well over the trip, and they were all lovely. Special shout out to my driver Nga- she drove perfectly and is just the most caring, generous and friendly person. Overall I highly recommend this experience as the best way to see Northern Viet Nam's gorgeous landscapes and get a genuine glimpse into the lives of people in the region, while enjoying delicious food (and happy water!) and making new friends along the way. Many thanks to Liam for patiently answering all my questions and to the whole Lila Inn team who made it all happen so seamlessly 😎
(P.S. this is not specific to Lila Inn but for anyone planning to do the Ha Giang Loop in January, be sure to bring lots of layers, gloves, scarf, winter jacket etc- it gets VERY cold out there on the bikes! Still gorgeous though especially if you can time your trip with a dry / sunny stretch!)
Negative points: We stayed in a private room in Lila Inn the night before the tour and it was very convenient but quite chilly ( in January). Luckily we had lots of layers for the trip ahead though so it wasn't a problem.
Review: Accommodation basic but all you need (online photos look enhanced). First night no hot water. Shared family-style free dinners were a nice surprise and yum local food. Breakfast sando is good too. Liam is a great host and has a wealth of local knowledge. He can answer all your questions & give best advice. I recommend booking your loop trip with these guys, whether self drive or easy driver, their route is unique and unlike the masses.
Positive points: Clean, several showers and toilets outside the room, lovely staff. Very good stay here :)
Review:
Liam is the best guide and host i have ever met!
Positive points:
Very friendly owner can help and give you advise about location and trip.
Good location
Review: Liem and his family are really welcoming and lovely people! We stayed here several days because we started our Ha Giang Loop here and after that we explored another part of northern Vietnam because Liem suggested us to do so. We rented the motorbikes from Liem and everything went perfectly fine. They also have free breakfast and dinner which is really nice and makes your stay in Ha Giang easier. Thank you Liem!! :)
Positive points: Extremely clean, excellent air conditioning, and nice shared spaces. There is a communal dinner you can join every evening, the food is excellent. It’s in a quiet location about a 20 minute walk from the central square, but there is good food nearby.
Review: I stayed here to start my tour of the Ha Giang Loop. They were very accommodating to me- they sent me a video for a late check in, which was so nice. I also rented my motorbike here and all has gone quite perfectly. I absolutely recommend you staying here.
Positive points: Liam of Lila Inn was unbelievable. We stayed here for our Ha Giang tour and rented motorbikes with them as we DIY’ed our loop. He was very helpful all throughout, even before our arrival, to our overnight stay, to booking our bus tickets, the motorbikes, sending our bags to Hanoi. Communication with him was a breeze as his English is good and he replies quickly over whatsapp & ig. So glad we booked here.
Negative points: Nothing - the room is fairly simple but it is good value for what you pay. Hot shower, soft beds 🤩
Review: Short walk to the river and shops but off the main street enough to be quiet. Friendly staff. They secure your bike overnight in a space across the street which worked great
Positive points: Everything. Lila Inn is such good value, the dorm rooms are cheap, and so clean and extremely comfortable. The place is super modern, and the bathroom/showers are very clean and always hot water. Location is central and staff are extremely frank helpful. They also arrange Ha Giang Loop tours/easy riders. Highly recommended this place.
Negative points: Everything was awesome
Review: Good vibes! Personal is awesome, really helpfull and friendly. Breakfast was nice. Rooms clean, bed very nice and even a shower separated from the toilet! Only thing is, you can hear your neighbours. Very good stay for a start of the loop, they really help you with all kind of information.
Positive points: Really modern well kept accommodation. The rooms and bathroom are spotless. The staff are really friendly. I arrived early at like 3am and Liam gave me a bed to sleep in. In town centre. Great value for money.
Negative points: Nothing
Review: Nice clean accommodation, everything worked. Staff were very helpful with the hiring of motorbike to do the loop. We got a puncture and helped with the translation to the locals who helped us with the repair.
Positive points: Just incredible! We did the three day/two night loop tour with two drivers and it was one of the most amazing things we ever took part in. We were just with the two of us which was amazing and gave us an opportunity to become friends with our drivers Ninh and Tang (or Thang - I’m sorry for not knowing exactly😣). They were both so sweet and Ninh provided us with so much information about the route and ethnic groups we visited. It is organised to perfection, with many off-route spots where no other groups come (especially not those big ones!). The route was diverse with plenty of stops and hikes. We stayed in lovely homestays (shoutout the bungalow in Dong Van town, incredible view) on the way and ate such delicious food for all the lunches and dinners. I would highly recommend booking with Lila inn!!!
Negative points: Nothing, it was perfect!
