Positive points: The staff was super friendly and I felt very welcome here. My room was great and the bed was very comfortable. The view of the river was great. The location was also perfect, enough at the action and far enough away for a quiet night. When I'm back in Hoi An, I'll come back here.

Positive points: It was close to the old town and the owner was accommodating. She even helped me with my luggage during check in.
The room was also very big especially for 1. Facilities were OK and functioning.
It was across the river and few minutes walk from old town.
It's also in the description that they only have stairs, no elevators, so it's just fair and the guest can decide beforehand.

Better value because offset from the city center.
Owner was nice enough to let me use the washing machine.

We have been to Viet Nam several. Times but this is our first visit to Hoi An. In searching for accommodation, I stumbled upon Riverlight, it seemed a good balance of price/quality/location. I'm so glad we chose it as it exceeded expectations! Location is excellent, right in the river & just 5 minutes walk from the historic Old Town. This has the additional advantage of being out of range of some of the late opening nightt clubs, nice & quiet.
The room is great, clean & tidy with good a/c, comfortable bed, & clean bathroom. Nice little balcony overlooking the river too.
But the best thing is the owner, Miss Hanh. Fantastic communication, nothing too much trouble. We needed to change our booking & she sorted that out with Agoda when they couldn't. We booked Coconut Forest excursion & car back to Da Nang through her too.
Riverlight is a small place but it was perfect for us 😎🇻🇳👏👍

Review: We just spent the most incredible few days at this hidden gem in Hoi An, and we're still grinning from ear to ear! I've had my fair share of hotel experiences, but this one truly stands out.

Firstly, the owner is the epitome of Vietnamese hospitality. She welcomed us with open arms and genuine warm smiles. Throughout our stay, she was always eager to help, offer recommendations, and share stories about Hoi An's rich history.

The hotel itself is clean, with comfortable rooms and all the amenities you'd need. It is such bargain for the price. But what truly sets it apart is its beautiful riverside location. This hotel is a mere 8-minute stroll from the iconic Japanese Bridge, but trust me, the walk is part of the charm. You'll pass by quaint shops, ancient temples, and bustling markets, soaking up the sights, sounds, and aromas of this enchanting town.

Review: Everything was okay except for no power backup in case of power interruption. On our last night we experienced no electricity for about an hour in the wee hours of the morning. Had a hard time going back to sleep as room became hot.

Review: Myself and my mum and her friend stayed for 5 nights. It was clean and the lady owner was very lovely and helpful. Whilst I was there, I hurt my back badly, and she called her friend who is a surgeon to come to me on a Saturday night to check me and treat me. The cost was also very low. She had the cutest dog called Happy, he was the star. Mixed Pomeranian/Shiba Inu like a teddy bear. She was very helpful, the location is perfect, close to the old town, but away from the hecticness. Nice and quiet but just 5 mins walk to everything. Thanks so much for a lovely stay and your kind heart. Would stay again if ever going to Hoi An. I recommend.

Review: This place was a great find. Very clean, quiet and welcoming. The host is very friendly and helpful. The building looked either newly renovated or newly constructed. Worth every cent. Highly recommended, will book again when I return.

Review: I stayed in two different rooms over four nights (rooftop w/balcony river view and triple river view room) and both were exceptional. The beds are soft and comfortable with high quality sheets, comforter and down pillows. The location is very close to old town but far enough to enjoy some peace and quiet, if you choose. The Wi-Fi is fast and reliable throughout the building and all the amenities are found in the room, including an umbrella and large mini-fridge. The owner and staff are very nice and helpful!
