Review: Clean and comfortable guesthouse with access to West Lake.

Review: I stayed only for 1 night. The location was close to walking around the lake and some nice places to eat. Room was good. I enjoyed it there.

Review: Booked this accomodation for a week long stay. Unfortunately it was not as described. The photos on Agoda are a bit misleading, it looks very bright, light and clean in the pictures. The access to the property is below street level down a narrow set of stairs, which is quite difficult with a large suitcase, no one was there to help or check me in, instead instructions provided on WhatsApp. When I got to the room I was dissappointed, it is a lot more dingy and dark than pictured, no natural light, felt like I was in a basement even though it was 4th floor. There is no city view as promised. The windows were covered with advertising and screens so you could not see out. An extra external door not pictured which made me feel unsafe. There was no blanket made on the bed, instead just a sheet and duvet cover (with a inner in the cupboard). The cover provided and towels were marked/stained. The room itself did not feel very clean. Allergic to dust so the lack of deep clean was an issue. There was dust build up in mosts small areas, could tell the place hadn't been thouroughly cleaned in a while. There were bugs squashed and smeared on the walls, left there. This all just put me off, I guess it is cheap for a reason. I did not feel comfortable here and left the same day. I did not stay here at all in the end (booked a hotel last minute and moved). The property owners refused to give me a refund for my stay. I was happy to receive at least a partial refund for the trouble, I did not touch the room they still could have booked the room for the rest of the week. What made it worse was they lied about resolving this to me. They did not want me to leave my honest/negative review so they delayed, said were in contact with Agoda to arrange the refund and to wait. A week later no update so I contacted Agoda myself - they hadn't been working on this. I messaged the property owner again on whatsapp to ask them to please respond to Agoda. Just received a response now saying the property owner is refusing to refund, claiming they didn't understand why I left (I explained everything to them via WhatsApp where they were apologetic and said they would arrange). Overall, a stressful and disappointing experience. Fine to book if you are not to fussy about cleanliness details but I have been in Vietnam for 2 months now and for not much more costs you can find a nicer place. Hope this helps.

Review: Cheap and good value for money

Review: It is inconvenient to stay here because the parking is not convenient (it is outside the alley), the bathroom is uncomfortable (not private, there are significant gaps), and the kettle is dirty.
