Van Anh Hotel

Positive points: Three of us stayed in this hotel recently and we're amazed by the cleanliness although it does look as if the hotel has been recently built.
The only disadvantage was that the hotel is located a good 20 minutes walk from the center of Dong Van. The owners made us feel very welcome on check-in, and there is an elevator to all floors if you have luggage.
We did have to park our three motorbikes on the pavement outside but due to the distance from the city we felt they were safe.
I would recommend this hotel especially if you want a clean and new place to stay. In fact the only disadvantage was the distance from the center of the city and we didn't realize when we booked this. Dong Van has a great night life with many bars, and a lot going on. However if you intend to partake in this, you may wish to consider a hotel a bit closer. But if a quiet night is your style then this is recommended.

• Room - clean. And they can clean it everyday for you
• Beds - very comfortable
• Comfort room - I’m sensitive about bathrooms but I was impressed here. It was clean! There are also extra toothbrush, soaps, shampoos and tissues you can use. And it has hot shower!
• Room is air conditioned, has electric fan, tv, has cabinet with huge space, a table, a chair, blower, tea, electric kettle, bottled water, there’s also refill, and other things you may need
• has laundry area
• Let’s not forget how kind and helpful the OWNER and the STAFFS. There might be a language barrier but they try their best to to help and they have been really very helpful. They call drivers for you, guide you, walk you out if you’re lost, drive you, etc.
• Location is perf! Just a few minutes from the market. It maybe near the market but still very quiet.
• wifi is fast!

Review: Cheap, clean, enthusiastic staff.

Positive points: Very friendly people that don't speak English but communicated through Google translate (like everywhere in vietnam). They gave us a nice room with a great view on the mountains. Bed was comfortable and the shower was nice and hot. The ac has a heater option, great after a loooong day of riding on a rainy day.

Review: A place for really tough guys or those who try to save money by going the extreme route. I have no idea why it has such a high rating. The rooms depend on the one you are assigned, but each of them is quite cramped. The mattresses are very large. The fact that there are no worms is definitely a plus. There are four bathrooms, but they are not kept in the best cleanliness. Sometimes the toilet gets clogged )
I have already traveled a lot in Vietnam and visited many hostels but so far this is the worst I have been to. I think that the price of 100,000 VND is inadequate to what you get. At this price, I had hostels with breakfast in Phu Quoc or HCMC. I think that the price of about 50-60,000VND would be adequate to the quality.
In my opinion, it's better to pay extra and look for another place.

As for the owners, they are very nice, the only problem is the Indian who works here. He knows English better than the owners, so you can see that he is actually in charge here. This man doesn't understand his job or what's going on in the hostel. He assigns rooms randomly and then comes in the evening and tells me to move to another room. In another room he points to a bed that is already occupied and that I should move there. Generally, this man makes a terrible fuss and doesn't understand anything.

Positive points: Beautiful room with private balcony and amazing view on the Mountain (we were at the 5th floor). Very comfy bed and nice bathroom. Nice staff. A little bit far from the center if you want to enjoy the night life in dong van, but its only a 10 min walk. NB : No breakfast nor coffee.

Positive points: Clean room, comfortable bed, wifi was not working on 4th floor to start with but the hosts sorted it out very quickly when we asked about it. Great view, very good value for money, highly recommend

Positive points: Beds were comfortable, place was clean, 2 min by motorbike to the centre of town, and the dorm is in the top floor, so it has a nice little view.
