Review: Overall very good experience in Secret Garden, very close to all Ubud amenities, nice swimming pool and very welcoming stuff. Good price!
Positive points:
Great location ….don’t need scooter. Everything is close by. The people there are awesome. Would definitely recommend.
Had great pool, refrigerator and had water stations at your door.
Negative points: Property was great
Positive points: The garden setting was beautiful and looked after very well. The staff were shy but friendly.
Negative points: The room we stayed in was quite rundown. The bathroom smelled and the fitting did not work correctly. Plaster was falling off the walls in the room. The front door was broken and couldn't be locked from inside.We had the same towels and bedding for 4 nights. They smelt too because they never had time to dry.
Positive points:
Loved the location, view from our balcony, pool, friendly staff and beautiful garden. Secret Garden Sky has traditional Balinese architecture. Our host arranged our departure transportation and tried to solve a booking problem we had. Simple but healthy breakfast.
Close to restaurants and main streets. Monkey forest only a ten minute walk.
Negative points: I know it wasn’t the Hilton but the beds were slightly hard and linens were worn a little ( although very clean).
Review: Very nice little calm hotel with tropical garden, pool and afficient helpful staff. Good breakfast. We liked everything.

Negative points: The room was a bit rustic and the blinders wouldn't cover all the light from getting in.
Review: The location is decently central to a lot of attractions, and walking distance to the monkey forest. The staff here are AMAZING. Putu and Ane were so helpful in getting us booked for tours and boats, and Putu’s banana pancakes are the best!
Positive points: Lovely staff, very clean, and good location in the center of Ubud yet tucked away so it’s very quiet. Good value for money considering breakfast is included.

Review: Really really enjoyed my stay here. I spent a whole 2 weeks in this guesthouse and could have stayed even longer. The rooms are a good size and the bed was comfy. The complimentary breakfast is excellent too (especially the banana pancake). It is walking distance from lots of cafes but far enough from the main road so that the stay in this place is very peaceful. The staff went over and above to ensure I had a great time. If you are looking for a budget place to base yourself in Ubud then I highly recommend Secret Garden Sky.
Positive points:
Fabulous location! Walk to many shops & restaurants, quiet neighborhood, central to various day trips/ tours.
Very pretty grounds, family temple, & nice pool. Mini fridge, Bali coffee, drinking water, drying racks, & dining area were helpful.
Staff were helpful & efficient but not very personable.
Breakfast was basic Bali choices, well executed & timely but not amazing.
Property was very tidy and groomed throughout & rooms freshened each day but seemed liked could be ‘cleaner’.
Negative points:
We had 2 rooms - both smelled but especially 1 - from the bathroom drains). Ac worked in both but not that powerful or overly cold. Could use some place to sit in room. Beds were hard, pillows small, but typical to area. Room colors were eclectic.
Taxi will not pickup/ drop at house - have 3-5 min walk to busier bigger street. We didn’t mind but for luggage or limited walkers it could be an issue.
They kept turning ac off when we left & it would take hours to catchup when we returned. We did not like that whole bathroom was fully soaked if shower used and floor stayed wet all day from cleaning & showering.
Staff did not try to get to know us or offer suggestions/ info.

It was interesting stay in the city center od Ubud
Plus: great localisation, awesome personel, little but clean swimmingpool, good breakfast
Minus: NO HOT WATER during the whole stay, lizzards in room
Positive points: This homestay is everything you would hope for: lovely garden with swimming pool, private rooms with patios, delicious breakfasts, and friendly staff! We would happily stay here again!
Negative points: It would be helpful to have laundry services on site.
