Mohenic Hotel Seoul Myeongdong

Review: Stayed for one night after touring myeongdong area. Receptionist was very helpful and assisted us with our concerns well. She helped us with airport transfer vehicle reservation and allowed us to check in one of the rooms already available when we arrived earlier than the check in time. I booked two rooms for my family, the bigger one on the higher floor had a nice view and big space, but the smaller room I booked had to have a fan for it to cool. Wifi service needed to be requested to the front desk. Building is shared with another hotel. Busy area but very close to myeongdong station and myeongdong shopping area. It's the location you're paying for.

Positive points: It was close to everything! We loved being able to walk out to go find a breakfast place or head out to the night market. We loved the random entertainers every day in that area. It was close to the taxi stop, subway and shopping. Our room on the 16th floor had a beautiful view of the tower and hid all the street crowds. We had hardwood floors and a window mobile AC unit (which our friends on the 8th floor did not). Our other room on the 9th floor had carpet and a mobile AC as well. You are definitely paying for location when you stay here because it was lacking in a lot of other areas.

Review: nI rarely leave negative reviews, but my recent stay at this hotel was a huge letdown. From the moment we checked in, the service was below expectations. A young female staff member at the front desk was particularly rude and dismissive — not only was she unaccommodating, but she also showed zero flexibility when we requested a simple adjustment to our room. Her tone and attitude made us feel more like a burden than a guest.nnUnfortunately, the room itself didn’t do much to improve the experience. Facilities were basic at best and poorly maintained. The air conditioning was hot, and we had to argue with the staff in order to change to another room. For the price we paid, I expected at least a comfortable and welcoming stay, but this was far from it.nnCustomer service and hospitality should be a hotel’s priority — sadly, this place missed the mark completely. I won’t be returning and would not recommend it to others.

Positive points: Perfect location. Metro 1 min walk. You can go on metro anywhere you want. Airport bus not even 5 min walk. Airport bus starts running at 4.45 am.Market and stores are next to this hotel. If you don’t care about outdated decor this is a good place to stay.

Review: Sounds like an adventure right from the start! Getting a little lost only adds to the charm of the trip, especially in a lively place like Myeongdong. That area really is a sweet spot—shops, food stalls, and city energy right at your doorstep. For *** over four nights, having a decent stay in such a prime location actually sounds like a win for a budget tour. Sometimes character beats luxury when you’re after the experience.

Positive points: It’s very easy to find. It’s in the heart of Myeongdong.

Review: Worth the price. Location is perfect! Just right outside the metro and bus station. Supermarket and Olive Young in the building. Room is spacious with a bath tub, clean and comfortable.

Review: Spacious and clean room and the air conditioner can be controlled. The location is the best. Only downside is the elevators are few and very slow. Thank you to the staff who made our stay wonderful.

Review: First day I was really late to check-in, I got to the Hotel at 12am and thankfully there was the receptionist who let me checked in. Close to the subway. Close to all amenities!

Review: I am thoroughly disappointed with my recent stay at your hotel. First of all, it is not clearly stated that this hotel shares the building with Migliore Hotel. There are very few lifts, and they stop at every single level, causing long and frustrating waits.nnThe so-called front desk service is located on Level 17—not in a proper lobby, but in what appears to be a converted hotel room. This already felt unprofessional. The air-conditioning in the room was completely ineffective, and it’s clear the hotel is aware of this because a fan was provided—which is unacceptable for a hotel stay.nnThe charging ports are poorly designed, using a round shape that is not compatible with most international plugs. Worse still, when I tried using two of my own charging plugs, one of them actually burnt out. I had to go all the way down to the desk to request a suitable adapter—something that should have been provided on the very first day. On top of that, two ports are clearly not enough for two people in one room.nnWe tried using the USB charging port, and it ended up damaging two of our power banks—rendering them completely unusable. That’s absolutely unacceptable and caused unnecessary inconvenience throughout our trip.nnTo make matters worse, on our final night, housekeeping failed to replenish the toilet paper. We returned to the hotel after 12 midnight only to find the front desk was already closed (it closes at 11:30pm), and we had to use our own tissue. There was no one to contact or ask for help. This is a basic necessity that was neglected.nnOverall, this stay was extremely disappointing. The lack of basic hospitality, poor infrastructure, and unsafe amenities have made this one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Positive points: Perfect location. Walk downstairs and you’re at the myeongdong station and night market. Shower oddly shaped but beds very comfortable. Easy to find

Review: Start from the front desk to the room, everything is great! Nice location for shopping...i will definitely come again for shopping here😄

Positive points: The location was fantastic. It was right at the start of one of the Night Market main streets. The room was relatively large with a big bathroom. The hotel shares space with another hotel. Some parts were being renovated so there was some construction noise and long waits for crowded elevators, no telephone in the room to call for assistance, no amenities, cannot flush toilet paper down the toilet due to old plumbing in the area, deep bathtub entry/exit was difficult and the shower curtain placement created pooled water, no hand bars for support or safety. Room was alternately hot then cold, then hot. Toilet paper was not replaced daily. Coffee cups not replaced daily.

Review: Hotel’s location was amazing! Right in front of Myeongdong shopping street. But the hotel manages some rooms with Migliore, with a lot more rooms belong to the latter. Basic rooms with zero facilities, very basic rooms.

Positive points: Great location

Review: Great location and that’s where it ends… tiny room, dirty, mould through bathroom and toilet, no charging ports next the bed. Any time you want to use elevator is a 15 min ordeal stops at every floor without people.
