Review:
Melia Danang is a hotel that promises a lot—luxury, relaxation, and a prime beachfront location—and in many ways, it delivers. However, my stay here was a tale of two experiences: moments of pure bliss contrasted with areas that felt unfinished and in need of rejuvenation.
Let’s start with the positives. The location is nothing short of spectacular. Nestled along the pristine shores of Danang’s coastline, the hotel offers breathtaking views of the ocean and easy access to the soft, golden sands. Waking up to the sound of waves crashing and the sight of the sun rising over the water was a highlight of my stay.
The rooms are spacious, elegantly designed, and equipped with modern amenities. My suite was a haven of comfort, with a plush bed, a large balcony garden, and a sleek bathroom that felt like a spa retreat. The housekeeping team deserves a special mention for their attention to detail and the immaculate condition in which they kept the room.
Dining at Melia Danang was another high point. The breakfast buffet was extensive, offering a mix of international and local dishes that catered to all tastes. The on-site restaurants, particularly the seafood grill, served up fresh, flavorful meals that were a delight to the palate.
However, it’s impossible to overlook the fact that large portions of the hotel appear to be unfinished. Scaffolding, construction materials, and cordoned-off areas were a common sight, especially near some pools and some of the outdoor spaces. This detracted from the overall ambiance and made the property feel less polished than it could be.
Additionally, while some areas of the hotel exude luxury, others felt tired and in need of an update. The outdoor landscaping, though lush, could benefit from more attention to detail, as certain sections appeared unkempt.
Service was generally warm and friendly, though there were moments when staff seemed overwhelmed, particularly during peak hours at the pool and restaurants.
In conclusion, Melia Danang has the potential to be a world-class resort, and in many ways, it already is. The stunning location, comfortable rooms, and excellent dining options make it a great choice for a relaxing getaway. However, the unfinished construction and tired aspects of the property hold it back from truly shining. If the management invests in completing the renovations and refreshing the worn areas, Melia Danang could easily become one of the top destinations in Danang. For now, it’s a solid choice with room for improvement.

Breakfast and afternoon tea (for Level guests) were superb with a wide range of food. Room was clean and spacious, with a really comfortable bed. Private beach was also in a pristine condition.
My other half was not well on the second day. Ms Nhi (who happened to be at breakfast restaurant on 31 Jan) very kindly served some breakfast and ginger tea directly to our room. We were really grateful.
After that, another Ms Nhi (Kayla?) was gathering feedback from guests at the lounge. She immediately offered to help us in moving to another room, after learning that we were staying next to a family with young kids.
The above were only two examples. The staff members across the board were exceptionally helpful in ensuring that we have had an enjoyable and restful stay.
Would highly recommend the Level rooms and staying at Melia.
Positive points:
Having direct access to a private beach was amazing, and the kids had an absolute blast playing in the sand.
Despite having numerous villas, the resort never felt crowded, allowing for a sense of privacy and tranquility.
The staff at the kids club were exceptional, providing engaging activities and attentive care, which gave us parents some much-needed downtime.
Negative points: The room has some cleaning problem at first, the hotel staff solved it efficiently.
Review:
Night staff created unnecessary chaos for water bottles for the entire group.
There was very less lighting near the beach club after 7PM.
Wifi was good and facilities were also very nice
Positive points: Great resort with nice swimming pools and facilities, very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was amazing with lots of variety. We really enjoyed the complementary fruits and cakes given to us.
Negative points: None

Positive points: The bedroom was nice and big with comfy bed
Negative points: Only one restaurant was open during our stay. Looks like some long term renovations were happening to the other restaurant. The gym was small and outdated

Review:
Despite the rain, I had a comfortable and enjoyable stay thanks to the very clean and pleasant accommodations, as well as the friendly staff.
Due to the features of the level room, the complimentary use of all facilities was excellent. The breakfast offered a wide variety of options, and in the afternoon, there were light snacks available after using the pool. Additionally, it was great that various types of food were available to enjoy within the resort until late at night.
In particular, there was always a security guard stationed at every pool, and the resort consistently ensured that the surrounding facilities were cleaned multiple times a day. The rooms and all the staff were always friendly, and when I requested room service at night, it was handled very quickly.
In particular, Chung (Mr. Tom) and Ms. Thao were very kind to us, allowing us to have a warm and wonderful summer vacation even in the winter. Once again, thank you, and we look forward to meeting you again.
Positive points:
Private, beautiful and clean white sand beach. We had the beach all to ourselves most of the time. After seeing how busy the beaches were in Danang city, it was so relaxing to come back to a private beach with hardly anyone around. Safe, quiet and uncluttered with people and things.
We also had the pool all to ourselves most days too. Two main pools that over look the ocean that's very quiet and peaceful.
Negative points:
We have stayed at Melia Bali, which was a magical stay with impeccably kept gardens, activities galore and various restaurants to choose from. We've also stayed at a few other resorts throughout Nusa Dua, Bali too - so that was my expectation, which wasn't met. So my review is based on comparison to those resorts, namely Melia Bali.
Perhaps we came at low season (first week of January), but there was hardly anyone around. Which was great because we had the beach and pool all to ourselves. However, they were also using this quiet time to do upgrades around the area.
I wish we knew they were under going renovations (but I guess we wouldn't have booked there if we did), but I did feel jibbed when on one of the days while relaxing by the pool they were drilling the building behind me. You can't help but feel jibbed when you've paid premium to relax on holiday and all you can hear is drilling.
The garden areas were under maintenance. Don't expect lush gardens like in Bali resorts. I think they don't have enough people to warrant nicer gardens. They were still recreating and filling up the pond when we were there. Again, it might sound petty picking on things like the garden area, but like I said I'm comparing this to Melia Bali, and we did pay premium to get that resort holiday feeling (which gardens play a big part of). There were no activities, and I guess that didn't put them up cos no one was there to show up for the activities! Shame, I expected so much more because it carried the Melia brand name.
I also did not enjoy staff shoving their card in my hand to give them a good review on Trip Advisor after exchanging 5 minute pleasantries every time.
I just wish they'd told my they were undergoing renovations beforehand. My expectations were higher because I've paid the same price at other resorts in South East Asia and experienced better.
Also the shower flooded but then after moving things around a bit we fixed it.
