We arrived in Ha Giang with the intention of doing the loop, on our own. In the end, unfortunately we were surprised by how cold it was there.
Negative points:
The window is basically just the wooden shutters, there is no glas. So as it was quite cold in Ha Giang, we had to keep them closed all the time.
Locationwise, it is right next to the (noisy) bus terminal. Good for mobility, but 1-2km outside of the city center of Ha Giang.
Positive points: Very helpful staff and clean rooms

No glass in windows, in summer it may be nice, but in winter it’s dark once you close windows.
Bathroom not maintained well, the tap falls out.
No kettle in the room or reception.
Noisy bus station outside.
Review: We arrived very late from Hanoi with the bus and they were super welcoming. The next day we needed to start the loop very early and they woke up before 7 o'clock to prepare breakfast. We did not expect it would be so cold and they gave me a hoodie to take on my loop even though I did not book the tour with them. Kindest people ever!
Positive points: Huge family room. Hot AC. Comfortable.
Negative points: Room keyring is oversized so you won't forget it but can't fit in a pocket!
Review: Our local bus from Dong Van called ahead to the hotel as we entered town, so the staff were outside to welcome us and take our suitcases. Checking in was quick and easy with most staff having english. Up into the lift and to our spacious room and a quiet nights sleep. Two choices for breakfast and a good start to the day. The staff were super helpful and friendly. The hotel is situated behind the bus terminal which is why we chose it. Taxi into the centre only cost 50, so it's a good option. Definitely recommended.
Positive points: The staff is very flexible and do everything to make your stay as desired. The price is good, you can rent motorcycle or book a tour. Breakfast is included and you can store luggage.

Positive points: The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. I ended up renting a motorbike from them as a self driver, I was satisfied with the motorbike and the whole service.

Positive points: Rooms are big and nice. Most important, hotel in general is very clean. Girls in the reception are very friendly and helpful. We also bought bus ticket to Sapa and they arranged a nice bus for us. They also help and advice for Ha Giang Loop. I definitely recommend staying there. Thanks Celine/Anna for comfortable stay and Boss Tom for the support and advice for the Loop.
