Positive points: Absolutely highly recommend. This family is so nice. Dad, mom, son and his wife are all so kind and friendly. And their 3 year old daughter is hilarious and adorable. The rooms are really nice. Comfortable beds, great hot water and ac. They make excellent meals. The village is so beautiful to walk around. All the houses have thatched roofs and everyone farms the well manicured and productive land.It's peaceful and quiet in the country but only a five minute taxi ride to town. Tong- the son speaks really good English. Over dinner he explained so much about the culture. It was a fascinating discussion covering a multitude of topics from rice farming to weddings and courtship. Learned so much in a couple of hours. Don't miss staying here.

Positive points: This place is wonderful in so many different ways.

Bungalow: The bungalow is new, very clean and comfortable. You basically sit on top of a rice field. It has a terrace from where we were able to see little ducks playing in the rice fields, very lovely. There were not a single mosquito here in November, which is a big plus!

Location: It is incredible how such an authentic and traditional village is so close to Ha Giang! You have a feeling that you went back in time. In 2 days staying there we saw maybe 10 tourists. It was so far our favourite place in Vietnam. You can have a nice walk through the village. If you continue going up through the village there is a trail of about 3-4 km that you can follow through the forest. There are also trails to the nerby waterfall.

Meals & hosts: The family prepares a delicios breakfast as well as lunch and/or dinner per request. The food is local and very good, the portions are huge! You eat with the family which is a lovely experience. They are super friendly and the owner also speaks English. They have a fridge where you can buy water and drinks if you run out. They also helped us arrange transfer back to the Ha Giang city.
