Bay of Chen-Hai Penghu Homestay

Positive points: We really enjoyed our stay. The owner was very kind and accommodating. The room was clean and had a nice hot shower. It was in a quiet location and a close ride to sites in the north. The breakfast was nice as well.

Review: We stayed at the Bay of Chen Hai over the weekend that Dujuan typhoon had hit. We experienced wonderful customer service! The owners suggested amazing places to visit while keeping the typhoon winds in mind the few days ahead of the typhoon. They also went out of their way to book our activities tickets (tour and boatrides) for our preferred days. We were stranded an extra 2 days due to canceled flights, and the B&B readily accommodated us for the additional 2 days! The location of the B&B is well outside of the city of Magong, which was wonderful! The grounds is beautiful with a relaxing backyard, a relaxing 2nd floor patio, and a fun dog that my kids loved to play with. The breakfasts are very hearty and delicious...it was a nice combination of Western and Asian. Our only complaint was that one of the days the cleaning person forgot to clean our room. All in all, a wonderful stay!!

Review: My husband and I could only say good things about our stay at this hotel. The hotel is beautiful and well maintained. The family running the hotel are gracious and went out of their way to assist guests in any way they could. The manager even went as far as to personally take us on a tour of the north island. His English was very good and he provided information about the sites that was on par with a professional tour guide. The hotel is remote, but my husband and I found it quite easy to take buses and taxis to and from Magong. If you are looking for an affordable hotel with gorgeous rooms and a friendly staff, then reserve a room at The Bay of Chen-Hai Penghu Homestay!

Review: The Bay of Chen-Hai homestay was a real find. It is a beautiful B&B with great staff and nice breakfasts provided. The beach is a 5 minute walk away and there are lots of things to explore nearby (a scooter would be helpful for this). Although a bit further away from Makung, being a fairly remote part of Penghu makes is all the more relaxing and special. Highly recommended.
