Ba Danh Homestay & Kitchen – Ben Tre Mekong

Đánh giá: We loved the location on the river and had an amazing time kayaking down the river. Very special and for me highly memorable. The room was clean but I am not a fan of the shared bathrooms although they were spotless. I would upgrade if possible next time. The hosts are lovely and offer many local tours which sounded interesting. The food was really good so there is no need to leave if you just want to hang in the hammocks and chill. No a/c but a fan and soundproofing between rooms not great. I would still go back given the chance as it gives you the full Mekong Delta experience.

Đánh giá: - A homestay with a strong Western style featuring a spacious and airy environment, lots of greenery, and very convenient for group activities if traveling with friends or family.
- The owner’s family is very friendly and welcoming.
- For newcomers, it is advisable to follow the directions that will be sent via message. It's not recommended to rely on Google Maps as it can be confusing and lead you astray.

Đánh giá: The concrete walkways were extremely slippery. I was walking extremely slow to not fall and still was like walking on ice, seriously hazardous. If this was in the USA, there would be law suits for sure. The staff was amazing! Location is very remote and GPS out us on goat paths and bunny trails that gotbys wrong. Friendly locals get lost tourist and point and gesture until you kind of get the idea of where to go.
The restrooms 🚻 are male & female.
2 cold and 1 warm shower.
Stocked with spare toothbrush and soaps.
The staff was amazing.
It is very remote.
They need to post some signs to direct lost tourist.
The paved road turned into a paved skinny road. That turned into a skinny paved 6 foot wide road. That turned into a rock and mud even skinnier trail that was maybe 4 foot wide.

Điểm cộng: We went to Delta straight from Saigon. This place felt like heaven on earth. Located in beautiful garden, surrounded trees with all kinds of tropical fruits, the coconut candy manufacture right on premises, amazing homemade food. Bikes to rent for free. Butterflies everywhere. All family run and environmentally friendly. Don’t expect luxury, expect amazing authentic and serene place, where you get some amazing rest an eat as fresh as it gets.

Điểm cộng: We loved the authenticity of this place, so much so that we stayed 3 days instead of the 1 which we had planned. My husband didn't want to stop originally in Ben Tre and woke up the morning after suggesting we stayed extra :D
You'll be surrounded by nature, peace, the most kind Vietnamese family and make sure you speak with Chi about going to the market and cooking with her family. It was something we also hadn't planned because we wanted to skip the tourist traps and it felt like going around Ben Tre with a friend.
Bike available for free, Vietnamese coffee and delicious tea available during the day for a very small fee so you don't need to go out if you don't want to. We booked in the afternoon and Chi messaged me right away to organize a transfer from the bus station to the homestay - very smooth!
Thank you Chi and your family and friends for making us feel at home, we'll remember the time on the hammocks once we're back to busy London!

Đánh giá: The place is perfect if you want to escape from the hustle and bustle. The rooms are simple and and have no ceiling so you hear everything from other guests. The food was very good, there is no menu but the owner has some good options. There are free bicycles to get around. Bathrooms were not super clean. We can definitely recommend the place

We could borrow bicycles for free and ride to the town to look at the market and for Mekong tour.
Even though we bought our own repellent, there were repellents available to use on the porch.
Free drinking water was a great bonus.

Đánh giá: Amazing location. Great to explore by bike. Free bikes and kayaks available. Unfortunately no motorbikes. The common spaces were not cleaned every day. The breakfast is very basic. Room for improvement for this price.

We will definitely return to this relaxing homestay!I recommend this place to everyone who would like to experience an authentic mekong delta holiday.

Điểm cộng: If you love to be in nature, you will love this! The location is fantastic, 5 mins from the centre of Ben Tre and it feels like you're in the middle of the coconut jungle.
The homestay food is good and my favourite was the coconut prawns. There are kayaks to rent there which will get you straight onto the river which we enjoyed. Chi even arranged a moped for the next day so we could get around.
Chi will also arrange a tuk tuk to bring you to/from the homestay which is an experience in itself. Chi is an excellent hostess and super helpful.

Đánh giá: We were surprised by all the kindness and service we received. The owner with his wife were very observant and kind.
The room was simple but there was all we needed - comfortable bed with mosquito net :)
There were bikes for free, some in really bad condition but if you wake up early and be the first, you can choose good ones from all of them.
Available bar and stunning garden. Very good cooking.
The stuff recommended us some trip and gave us a map.
Before our leaving the owner organized carting for us to the bus station.
Attention to the arrival there because it is not possible to get there by car/taxi. Call the owner, he will help you or pick up you in some place.
It was one of the accomodation, that we will always remember in positive way.

Điểm cộng: Exceptional location and food, a place to truly relax and enjoy the beauties of the Mekong delta region.

Đánh giá: The homestay is nice and authentic - just in the middle of the jungle. You can rent bikes and kayaks for free. There are also hammocks on the terrace, so you can relax there and listen to the sounds of jungle. Food was good, host's wife will prepare whatever you like.

We had difficulties to get into the homestay as we were not able to rent the motorbikes in whole Ben Tre - we asked in several hotels and bike sellers - without success. We had to call a taxi in the end.

The host arranged a private boat tour in the canals for us. Although it was little expensive it was nice (brick factory, coconut factory...). I recommend to go.

Điểm cộng: Peaceful and charming. The house we stayed in is beautiful as described in the pictures. Surrounding is full of coconut and tropical trees. The family was very hospitable and happy. You can ask them to prepare your meal and they will offer local dishes. We had dinner there and it was very good. They also have basic soft-drinks which you can make it to your liking. Bathroom is clean and hot water is available. Other than that, you can use their bicycles to wander around (no charge), kayaking is also available, but make sure to check for tide high (higher than 3.5m is advisable).
